RE: Help! Worst service ever at this location

Well, called Tues and told them about the problems and also my 50amp progressive circuit box 30 - 50 amp cord, and 30 - 20 amp cords were missing. Now Sat and no return call. I guess the Camping world people also on this site gave up...

RE: Help! Worst service ever at this location

Well, 14 weeks to fix the gen and wash and wax it. Got it back on Saturday. As you know they left the garage door open and rotted out the floor. The new floor looks great and they did a good job. They also ran into it with a fork lift and the repair looks good too. Now the cons: The bill came to $1,406. The gen now starts and runs but as soon as you put a load on it, it quits putting out voltage. I guess they never tested it out. The 12v system wasn't working. They said the disconnect switch was off so someone just pulled it on and walked away and charged me 1/2 hour labor to do it. They never checked it out to see if it was working. (it wasn't) So... $1,400 for a wash and wax and 14 weeks waiting.... I fixed the 12v yesterday myself. It was a bad breaker and I had an extra one from my Harley. I'm going to call the manager today but have little hope anything will get done and to be honest I'm afraid to take it back....

RE: Help! Worst service ever at this location

Well week 13. I get a call on Wed's to tell me it "should be" ready on Fri. On Fri's I get a call saying "it should be" ready some time next mid week. Do you guys think I should be compensated for the loss of my 5th wheel for over 3 months? I mean all the work they had to do to it is their fault not mine. We have a hurricane coming next week so I really hope it's done by then so I have electric or can get out of Dodge... Ok, Friday got the call again.... Maybe the middle of next week.

RE: Help! Worst service ever at this location

Bought my 2014 Sunova 33c from Ocal fl. camping world in march 2014. A few things needed to be repaired and or installed in couch that were sopposed to be be in unit when we took position. It took them a tot. Of 11 weeks to get these things done. If you do the math, they had my couch longer then I have. And if not for the gen manager, they were going to charge me. Well week 13. RE: Help! Worst service ever at this location

Billieg2, Thank you for your time and post. Please allow me to request the contact needed in this situation. Mark F Marcus' Rapid Response Team goodsamcs@goodsamfamily.com Arron the manager called me today. He said they need a special glue for the rubber mat in the garage and would have it on Monday. He said the gen was fixed. He said it "should be done" sometime next week. I guess I have no choice but to wait and see. 9 weeks is a long time to wash/wax and fix a gen.... Thank you for your time in this matter.

RE: Help! Worst service ever at this location

Well, you know Ft. Myers Camping world was great so if you need service and are in the area that's the place to go. But being 3 hr's away it's not an option. Today is today and no call back from the manager at Bartow Camping world.... No word if my gen is fixed, if the unit will be ready next week just nothing as always. I can see where Camping world doesn't want bad reviews but they should work harder to fix the shops that have poor service. I know Marcellus is working hard to do this but deleting posts is not a way to go about it. Maybe all the neg. posts should be sent to the manager of the shop and the owner to get their act straight. With the internet we now have a place to view good and bad products/shops and such so it would be to their advantage to clean these shops up. Maybe they need to use my Employment testing system to hire good employees and managers....

RE: Help! Worst service ever at this location

Hi Billieg2, To update you, the General Manager of the Bartow SuperCenter will be contacting you shortly. Sincerely, Good Sam Club Team The manager did call today (Thank you). He was nice and really didn't know what was going on. He said they were trying to find a floor covering for the garage area that matched the old floor but could only find black not grey. I said put the black in. He said he was under the impression the gen had been fixed and would check it out tomorrow and see what is up. (it's not) He said someone forgot to order the panel for where the fork lift punctured the side but would again follow up on it tomorrow. So I guess something has started but we will see if they follow through and get it all done before Christmas and if things are really fixed. On top of all this our $3,000 4 month old home fridge quit working and it will take them 2 weeks to fix it. We lost over $200 worth of food which half could have been saved IF we had the 5th. Now we are living out of ice chests. Thank you for your time and help.

RE: Help! Worst service ever at this location

Hi Billieg2, We've located you in the system and have your contact information. I've passed your contact information and your post along to the Camping World service manager. I will follow up once I have more information. Sincerely, Good Sam Club Team Thank you but the manager there is part of the problem so I really don't see him helping much. As a businessman I know you need good leadership to have good employees so these types of problems start at the top. Thanks for your help.

Help! Worst service ever at this location

I moved from Ft. Myers Fl where I used Camping world all the time and had great service. I moved to Lake Wales Fl (Bartow Camping world) and took my 5th down for a wash, wax, fix the front leg and get the gen to start (had only 47 hr's on it). A week later I was called and told their $175 diagnostic test said I needed a new carb $500. I asked if the old one could be cleaned or rebuilt but no.... they said only a new one would fix my gen. Ok, I'm a mechanic and know better but hurricane season is on us and I need a working gen. A week later they call and say the carb isn't the problem it's the timing and they have to pull the gen to reset the timing. Another $250. I said you just charged me $175 for a diagnostic test now you tell me that was wrong, the carb was wrong and I need to pay you another $250? Yep.... Stupid me.... Said ok but this better fix it or I'm not paying. A week later I get a call saying it's not the timing and must be something inside the gen so they will have to tear it all down and find the problem. Could be $500 to $1000 more.... I tell them to just put the gen back in and I'll come and get it. 2 weeks later I go down there to check on the unit (no calls no returned calls) and the rear door to the garage is open, filled with water and a soft floor, the side over the battery has 3 puncture holes in the side of the unit and it doesn't look like it has been washed or waxed at all. The manager came out as well as the service guy and said they were sorry but would "fix" it.... 3 weeks later it still isn't fixed and I can't get a return phone call and when I can get someone on the phone all I get is "gee, I don't know what's going on but I will find out and call you back).... No call... Went down there 2 days ago and looked at the unit. the garage floor is all torn up, the holes are still there and the gen is still broke. So 8 plus weeks and they have torn up my unit, have a charge of $1,500 waiting for me and all they have done is fix a $20 part on the front leg. To say I'm mad (I'll be polite) is an understatement. I REALLY need someone to help me out here before they burn it down to the ground. Our vacation plans were ruined and now we have no back up in case a hurricane takes out the power and we use the unit for guests. 8 weeks is insane and the damage done is unbelievable for a company that is supposed to be professionals. HELP!
