Look at post #11 for the proper wiring for your plug.

RE: Bed clearance issuses

I installed 2" dropped rear spring shackles on my 2011 to level the bed and increase clearance.
About $100 and an hour work.

RE: ST LOUIS TRIP

If you get back to St. Louis forget the 61 Roadhouse and cross the MO river to Alton and take in Fast Eddies Bon air.
Great, very cheap bar food (they make their money on drinks) and interesting history of the place.

RE: used rv refrigerator

Retail RV salvage places typically get 50% to 60% of retail depending on age and condition.
Wholesale (you selling it) it will bring 1/3 to 1/2 price.

RE: anyone towing 12000 lb 5th wheel with 3/4 ton pick up

Our 5er weighs in about 12k as loaded.
Truck is 3/4 ton Duramax
I love it! If you want to pay for the fuel it will run 100 mph into a headwind!
Trailer brakes stop the trailer just fine so don't start with the "wait until someone pulls out in front of you".

RE: where did the oil go?

Despinte what "dodgeguy" says, engines with lots of miles on them, when worked hard will use some oil.
Keep an eye on it when towing and top it up when it gets a quart low (when checked cold).

Lighter 5th Wheel TH?

Buddy of mine is contemplating getting a toy hauler to take his Goldwing trike with him.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a 5th wheel that is towable by a 3/4 ton GM?
Thanks

RE: Cord rubbing on tailgate

I use a shock (bungie) cord attached to the back of the pin box then crimped the other hook to the cord. This gently pulls the cord to the rear along the hitch and above the tailgate. The rest of the cord just hangs down to the rear mounted plug. No rubbing

RE: Question for all you LEOs

Unfortunately in today's society if one is sued and the suit is not successfull it can still cost tens of thousands of dollard to defend yourself. Winner, sure but poor for years to pay the lawyers.

Are you on shore power? It could be a 120V light, not 12V.

RE: Tire changing ramp

I bought it but also have the equaflex suspension and it did not work for me. Gave it to my buddy and it works well for his travel trailer. It did not give me the lift I needed to get the tire off the ground.
This one works just fine on my Cruiser with Equa-flex.

RE: camper floor

As the floor is the very first thing laid on the frame during assembly it is nearly impossible to replace all of the flooring. In the units I've seen build, the walls set on the edge of the floor so if you want to replace all of it you have to virtually disassemble the camper.
I did replace most of the flooring in an old class C several years ago. It took most of the winter and had to go down in sections. Covered it with carpet and it worked OK for the next 3 years we owned it. The idea of placing plywood over the existing flooring might work.
