RE: Dodge Grand Caravan most reliable minivan.
Survey, as the leader of the Chrysler cheering section, isn't it your duty to set the example. To show where your faith and heart truely is, the only way is to head straight to your nearest Chrysler dealer and make a purchase. Drive away in one of them shiney new vehicles, Chrysler could sure use the help. Keep the low mileage '95 for running errands to Home Depot.
BTW, all my vehicles(Fords, Toyotas, Hondas) were built in either the US of A or Canada. The Odyssey has one of the highest percentage content of Made in America parts than just about any other vehicle.
Capt... We are on our second mini-van because of kids and kids friends. Our 2001 caused us zero problems and we traded it in for a 2008. 22,000 miles and zero problems again (knock on wood) They practically gave it to us. sticker was 34,700 and we got it for a little over 23,000.
Its a Town and country loaded. The kids love the TV and TV stations. We also got a seven year bumper to bumper and 7 years of oil changes thrown in. Dont forget about the lifetime powertrain warrenty.
With the kids going to private schools (our choice) we could not swing 30 grand. I really like the new vans (I hope I dont have to eat crow years down the road)

RE: 2007 TUNDRA WOW
Funny the diesel guys jumped on the OP. IIRC he never mentioned he was out pulling diesels. Do some of you need reading lessons or is it too much exposure to diesel fumes?

RE: GM, Chrysler to cut up to 3,000 dealers
Average Chrysler sales per dealer=300
Average Honda sales per dealer=1200
Average Toyota sales per dealer=1300
Hard to argue with those numbers.
What will happen to the current inventory of those dealers thrown to the wayside? If ties with Chrysler severed, they may not be able to sell "new" Chrysler vehicles. If Chrysler does not buy the vehicles back, the newly axed dealers may have to sell thier inventory at auction for pennies on the dollar.
And the beat goes on...........
You must spend your day looking for negative articles on Chrysler and GM..
Lifes short..Go camping
Happy Trails
RE: Chrysler filing bankruptcy today
Again just wondering.
I know there are many people here myself included who would like to have a Cummins in the F series.
Why do so many people spend 30-40,000 on a truck with an engine that they dont like? Its the heart of the truck ! :S
RE: Chrysler agrees on framework of alliance with Fiat
I am a person whose vehicle stable consists of Ford products, a company which did not ask for or receive a bailout, I do resent my children being saddled with more government debt to bail out a company the government deemed "too big to fail".
Horse manure. As a small businessperson, no one is bailing me or the DW out.
At least the feds are telling the upper management of both GM and Chrysler that their 'services' are no longer required. But you can bet the golden parachutes will be blooming.
This whole bailout mess makes me want to puke.
All the car companies are going to pay back the money(if they survive)
Chrysler and Gm will owe the goverment and ford has borrowed billions from banks. If they go through that they will be looking at the gov also..assuming they survive also.
They are ALL losing billions..
RE: Truck sales starting to pick up, good news for Ford
Just an update to this thread
Automakers see big sales declines in January
GM drops 49 percent, Ford 40 percent in rough beginning to the year

RE: Truck sales starting to pick up, good news for Ford
Whil I will agree that '08 versus '07 really stinks...An increase in this economy is better than a decrease.especially when you have an increase two months in a row !!
I guess if you look at it that way, all the manufactures have picked up.. But they are selling them at such a deep discount I dont think its helping any of them. They probaby have thousands of trucks based on 07 to get rid of..
RE: Truck sales starting to pick up, good news for Ford
Okay...but check out the months previous to see if there was an increase over previous months in '08...I haven't but please do !!

Wow...Gm does the same thing 7 years ago and no one brought that up purchasing their trucks, now Chrysler does it and they are instantly Fiat... How funny

RE: Dodge may be ordering a pizza
Could it be the board at Chrysler is just running around keeping rumors alive so as to keep Chrysler stock from totally bottoming out?
If it works ,maybe GM should try it ...God knows their stock can't get any lower...:W
RE: Question on Roof
Some of the Jayco models from that time period have had roof issues. The Jayco Jayfeahter used a composite roof (TPO membrane, luan, foam, interior panel) and there was some delamination issues with the luan and the TPO material wicking water with it's felt backing.
Like swebber said.. I had the same problem with my 05. The whole roof had to be replaced (under warranty) on my trailer. The roof was perfect the second year I owned it in fall and the next spring it was soft and crinkly (if that's a word)in spots. Have the dealer take a look at it, I know they fixed many under warranty. Maybe if its the same problem they will fix it to keep your loyalty.
Good Luck
Robert
