RE: LOUD PIPES!

The operator of the bike is inconsiderate. I have had and still have may bikes with open pipes and never start it, rev it and let it idle....esp at 7:00 am in a non-bike campground. At home, once the bike starts, I'm off...no need to warm the thing up for 15 minutes, it will warm up on the way and low throttle settings. Same with the truck....this is 2012 folks. Put it in gear and go.

RE: Home Sweet Home

Probably went to go and weigh his truck before posting here to see what the interweb would say and if he could tow that monster with his 4 cylinder.

RE: Home Sweet Home

Doesn't look like it could be 10 years old, so should pass the 10 year old limit rule in any campground.

RE: Colorado High Park Fire

Sluggo When you built your home in the woods 35 years ago, did it ever dawn on you that there would be a possibility of a fire at some point in the future, and what precautions did you take to prevent your structured from being consumed should such a fire break out ? Since over 100 structures have been consumed in the fire already, the owners of such structures, presumably accepted that risk, failed to clear the trees and brush around their properties and create fire breaks in the mitigation of such a risk. Fire crews in the area have focused on protecting properties and structures as we have seen from the press, which is commended and I don't want to see people loosing their houses. Fire is what happens in nature, and lightning happens and it starts fires, the trees are mostly dead and have been killed by pine bark beetle. I dont have all the answers, and hope your structures survice, but, periodically the forest needs to burn to clean it up and allow for new growth.

RE: Colorado High Park Fire

It's natures way of rejuvinating the forest. Nature started the fire via lightning, and the pine beetles have killed the trees. The fire will get rid of the dead trees and allow new trees to grow, so let it burn and get out of the way. The entire Rocky Mt region is a tinder box of dead trees waiting to go up in smoke.

RE: Help with fresh water fill 93 Terry resort 27J

On a 20 year old camper anything is possible. If they removed the FW tank to install a different sofa, then, that could be the reason there is no FW tank. To make space for the sofa the tank was removed. Seems like you have opened up a can-o-worms now, can you get a refund ?

RE: Help with fresh water fill 93 Terry resort 27J

At this point, I think you need to find a good RV shop in your area to fix the issue. Get a quote, or quotes. Or, go it alone and see if you can fix it yourself, here is a tank, not sure of the size or shape and what other hookups you will need :- http://www.adventurerv.net/barker-fresh-water-polyethylene-tank-gal-p-1904.html

RE: Help with fresh water fill 93 Terry resort 27J

The clear hose is the Fresh Water breather, and, it appears that there is an elbow connection for it next to the hole in the campers floor. Run your hose through a window and directly into that hole in the floor and fill the tank with water (if it is there). Observe for leaks from outside. Someone removed the fill hose for a reason, perhaps a broken FW tank. They forgot to drain and winterize and the tank is now cracked. It will be leaking like crazy if it is cracked. If no leaks, and tank is there, you will need to re-connect that spiral type hose from the filler to the tank, and, determine why it was disconnected and never re-connected.

RE: Help with fresh water fill 93 Terry resort 27J

On 2nd thoughts, could it be that your fresh water tank is missing, and departed from the camper, and in the process pulled out the connecting pipes ? Look under the camper, is the fresh water tank there ?

RE: Help with fresh water fill 93 Terry resort 27J

Are you sure that you are connecting the host to the fresh water tank filler, and, not to the fresh water hook-up ? Two different hook-ups. In any event, neither should be leaking water into the camper. Something is wrong and you need it checked out, since you are new to this suggest taking it to an RV place and getting it sorted out. Good Luck.

RE: Refrigerator not getting cold enough

If you are continually opening and closing the fridge every 20 minutes throught the hot day it will never cool down. Suggest you open it ONCE in the morning, take out what you need, put that stuff in a cooler, and try to leave the fridge closed for the rest of the day.

RE: Memorial Day Mishaps????

The two stage propane regulator started leaking, couldn't find a new one anywhere. It was only 3 years old - Made in India. We ended up getting a single stage regulator for a BBQ from a hardware store and it worked as a temporary fix for the week-end. Yesterday, bought a new two stage regulator and installed it, and everything is back to normal again. Weather was kinda crappy for camping, cold, wind, rain, overcast and drizzle. There was a fire ban initially, but, after day 2 that was lifted due to the rain, but, still didn't have a fire. Fishing was slow. Maybe this week-end....
