RE: High end trailers

Dieselgem, Thanks for the info, hadn't heard anything about it. I'm planning a trip to the factory in early Sept, was hoping to get a tour of the Escalade factory. Might have to tour a different product line. Bob M

RE: High end trailers

KZ discontinued building the Escalade, New Vision and Montego Bay, so they're out of the market. Never heard this before, they are still on K-Z's website. Just wondering where this info came from. Bob M

RE: F/Trs Have Park model/casitas and Motorhome/RV too ??

That's my plan in a couple of years, I have a Park Trailer in Northern MN and I plan on spending the rest of the year in my fifth wheel. Already have both the trailers, just working out the details so I can retire and put my plan in place. Bob M

RE: North Dakota

Wow!!! Not much respect here for my home state.lol Guess the only time we make the news is when we are snowed in or flooding, by the way, it was 90 degrees here yesterday so don't believe all the cold weather jokes.:B A couple of places you might want to stop and see as you travel across our great state are the Buffalo Museum in Jamestown, they have a nice facility and a herd of live buffalo including a couple of rare white ones. Next would be the state historical center in Bismarck, it is located on the grounds of the state capitol and gives a good idea of what life was like on the early days of the prairie. Be sure and walk around the outside grounds and see the sculptures of horses and buffalo made of steel. Another interesting stop in that area is the Custer house located just south on Mandan. It is where General Custer was living at the time of The Battle of the Little Bighorn. A little further down the road is Dickinson where there is a excellent museum on Dinosaurs, many dinosaur skeletons including complete T-Rexes have been found in western ND and make sure you plan for a meal at The Trappers Kettle in Belfield. Medora is our biggest tourist attraction, it is straight out of the old west, wooden sidewalks and all. The Medora Musical is good summer stock theater and don't miss the pitchfork fondue. It is on the southern boundary of Theodore Roosevelt National Park in the middle of the Little Missouri Badlands. If you like to golf they have an excellent course and you can take trail rides etc. Lots to do and see in Medora. If you are arriving on I-94 from the east, be sure and stop at the covention and visitor's bureau site located in Fargo. It is located at the 45th street exit on I-94, it is on the north side of the Interstate and is shaped like a white grain elevator. They have all kinds of information about things to see and do here in North Dakota. As for the Enchanted highway, it is well worth the drive and runs from I-94 south to Regent ND, it is exit 72 about 20 miles east of Dickinson. Hope this info helps and enjoy your stay here, we have plenty of blue skies and wide open spaces just waiting for your enjoyment. Bob M

RE: What is the oddest "toad/towed" you have seen?

An H1 Hummer being towed behind a Prevost motorcoach. It was an impressive rig. Bob M

RE: North Dakota RV.Net Rally?

Rick, More snow forecast for the next few days with subzero temps after that. Maybe we could have a spring rally here in the Red River Valley since I'm sure there will be a need for hauling sandbags and building dikes. Wouldn't want to try and stay in the Lindenwood Park campground in Fargo though. Hopefully there will be more interest when the weather starts to warm, man I am really sick of winter this year!!! RE: Something strange happened at the RV dealer

It really does not matter if you are female or male!!! If you are not looking together A sale can not be made!!! A male can not buy a rv without the wife and the female can not buy without husband!!! Ladys look at diffrent tnings than the man does it takes both! There is no dealer that I know of will give you the bottom line unless both are there they call you ONE LEGGERS you have a built in reason to leave and go check the internet and someone can always beat there deal somewhere on the internet so why would they give a ONE LEGGER the bottom line??? nough rvtommy Have to disagree on this one, there are alot of single RV'ers out there and I have never had a dealer tell me to bring my wife back in to look. If he did, I would have went home and got my Golden Retriever and told the salesman that the decision was up to the dog, if he tells me he likes it then I'll buy it. Happy camping, Bob M

RE: Winter traveling

Another thing to keep in mind is, while you are traveling down the road, you are creating a huge wind disturbance which will pull the warm air out of every opening in the coach. It is very hard to keep a motorhome comfortable in a gale force wind. Make sure you have the coach heated up inside before you leave and then limit your travel on really cold days to only a couple of hours if possible. Bob M

RE: ENOUGH Winter Already!!!

Yeah this has been a long one already, the prediction is for temps to get to +35 here on Saturday, if it makes it, that will be our first day above freezing since Dec 9th. A whopping 52 straight days of temps below 32 degrees. I'm ready for a thaw. Bob M

RE: diesel $1.99

It was $1.97 in Albuquerque when I was there for Christmas and New Years. Of course I was driving my gas powered Explorer instead of the Super Duty. Bob M

RE: "GREAT deal on Onan P4300ie gen" - what about 62 dBA vs 57?

I ordered one of these generators in October, haven't ran it yet so no opinions about noise. Said 3-4 weeks for shipping but don't believe that, I ordered it on a Monday and it was delivered by truck that Friday. A whopping 5 days, not very often something gets delivered that much ahead of schedule. Looks like a nice unit. Bob M

RE: how do you hook up an auxiliary fuel tank?

I have the Northern Tool tank/toolbox combo and used the gravity feed into the filler neck of the truck. It is a pretty slow feed and I find that it usually takes 20 minutes or so of driving time for the gauge on the truck to go from 1/4 to full. I usually don't leave the valve open when travelling, I have had a check engine code appear when I leave the valve open too long. Bob M
