Back in 2003 we took the TC on a 9000 mile 2 month trip. Gettysburg was one of the stops. We stayed at a nearby KOA. The two days spent at gettsburg was very eye opening. I think its for sure should be on every Americans bucket list....
I got a 92 F250 IDI diesel with no turbo, auto, 4x4, 4:10 gears and 175K on the odo . Hauling my 92 Jayco (2400lbs) Im about a GVW of around 9500 to 10K. On flat land going between 60 to 65 I'll get 14 mpg.
My 92 ford has the same issue, In fact about 15 years ago in Alaska I was on a camping trip making a right hand turn from a stop when the right rear wheel drop in a culvert. The camper was on and the twist was pretty wicked, still got a little bed tweek from that day.
I figured bed twist had been corrected by now. Oh well guess the clearance will be 4"!
What would you folks say is the minimum clearance between the roof of the cab and the camper. The reason I ask is cause currently my Jayco has about 4 - 5" of clearance. The new Fords cabs are about 2" taller leaving me perphaps 2" at best.
On another topic what do you think of the skirts or dams some folks use in that area, for aerodynamics I guess
