RE: North Carolina natives

I too spent the first 18 years of my life in Greensboro ........Went in the Navy and only go back to see family and friends......Why does NC only have 5 state parks with campgrounds in the whole state... Where do you get only 5 state parks have campgrounds? There's more than that. And theres plenty more with primitive camp sites. The park ranger app on my iPhone only shows 5 state parks with campgrounds....

RE: Spare Fuel

My problem with using the 5 gallon gas can's is getting the pipe into the gas tank fill hole then holding the gas can long enough to empty the can. I need to find a hose extension that I could put on can then set that on my roll top case and just let it drain by itself.....

Bedroom slide cover

I think the spring on my bedroom slide is too tight. When the slide starts out I have to push the top to get it to go out parallel with the bottom. If so is it possible to loosen the spring?

eating lunch at the fuel pumps

We pulled into a Flying J a couple of weeks ago while on a trip to Nc from Fl. there were 2 lanes for rv's. I was in line and noticed that the motor home in the left lane was just sitting there. No hose connected and no one around. The right lane 2 rv's filled up and moved ahead. A lady came from inside the store and got into the rv....I thought for sure it would move now. Wrong answer. Another rv in the right lane finished fueling and moved away from the pump. I pulled up to the pump and had a problem with my control # so I went inside and the cashier rectified the problem by calling customer service.....I then went back out side and finished filling my tank. As I was replacing my fuel cap a guy came out of the motor home. I wanted to get nasty with this guy from Ohio but took the high road and let it go. He started to yap about his trip back to Ohio and how good his lunch was. My wife thanked me for not confronting him about how rude he was to tie up the pump with people waiting in line to fuel up. BTW I waited over 20 minutes to get to the pump..... Should I have let this self centered jerk have a piece of my mind??

lap top via wifi router to printer...

Here is the situation....I bought a wi-fi printer thinking all I had to do was plug it into the wall load the soft ware on the computer then print wirelessly. Well that was not the way it is.....I went back to the store an bought a wi-fi router......The instructions do not say how to hook it up without a cable modem.........I am thinking that I can plug the printer into the wi-fi router then load the router software onto my lap top then print wirelessly between my lap top and and my printer. I can put the printer in the upper closet and use the lap top in the living room. Is this the way I am supposed to hook it up. I want to know before I open the packaging on the router.....

Garmin search feature

I do the map up dates regularly. Does the map up date the fuel, restaurant, etc. search features also? We just returned from a 1500 hundred mile trip and more than a couple of times the garmin took us to a brand gas station that had not been in business for years on on a couple of times it said you have arrived at your destination and there was no fuel station in sight. I emailed Garmin but have not received an answer.....

RE: New tires for my truck

If you were losing air then absolutely you will will be pulling to one side. Why didn't you just get the leaking tire fixed? It was both rear tires loosing the same amount of air daily... And was ok with out the 5th wheel on the truck...

New tires for my truck

I purchased 4 new Cooper Discover HT tires for my truck. I left on a trip towing my 5th wheel. As soon as I got on the interstate I noticed it was hard to steer in a straight line. It was as though the 5th wheel was pushing the front of the truck from side to side. I double checked the air pressure at the first rest area and it was at the max for the tire. Then I discovered every day I was loosing air. I noticed that the tires had a larger diameter than the Michlins that I replaced. I thought it may be that the side walls were not as strong as my previous tires. After 3 days of driving I stopped an purchased 2 michlins to replace the Coopers and the wandering went away. I am wondering if it is a defect with the tires or an overload situation even though the max weight capacity of both brands of tires are the same.

Digital Signal

I have a Jack antenna on the roof of my RV why is it that we can be watching a program with a beautiful picture and then all of a sudden we get a message on our screen that says 'NO SIGNAL". What causes this ? and what can be done to prevent it?

RE: Samsung Galaxy tab 2 7.0 as a hot spot

My hot spot was pre installed when I got my Tab from Verizon, I think the problem may be my MacBook pro lap top communicating with the Android Tab....

RE: Samsung Galaxy tab 2 7.0 as a hot spot

I use my Galaxy Tab as a hot spot......the thing I hate is my lap top will link and I will be on a website but if I do anything my lap top will look for the connection......It is very aggravating. I do not know if it is a lap top or a Tab problem....

Max tire pressure vs Load on tires

I recently had new tires installed on my 5th wheel. I then had the rv weighed. It was weighed one wheel at a time. I know what the weight is on each wheel. Should I inflate the tires to the max stated on the tire or base it on the weight on the wheel?

One for the books

I had my truck and camper weighed. My door plate says 50 psi for the front tires, the guy who weighed it said I should be running 60 psi in the front, I got new tires and the owner of the shop that sold me the tires said I should run 80 psi because that is what the mfg. of the tires said ............Now the question is who is right......

RE: Large cafeteria trays for pot luck

Either you aren't do much of a Google search, or we are thinking of two different things??? Here is what I found on Google (with "Compartment Trays") http://catalog.carlislefsp.com/images/290x290/19259.jpg width=400 They were at This site. Not sure if they will sell just a couple, but maybe they can give you the address/contact of someone local to you. Good luck:) I found bunches of sites with these on them, the ones I saw at the pot luck were at lest 4" larger and had 2 more compartments.....

Cable TV reception

We were at a camp ground over the weekend that had growing pains. They are doubling the amount of sites and I felt that it was putting a strain on the cable system. We had lines across the tv screen which I attributed to low signal strength. I wonder if there is an amplifier that could be put before it comes into the camper to strengthen the cable signal. Is there such a thing?

Large cafeteria trays for pot luck

We attended a rally last weekend and had a couple of potlucks.....I noticed some folks had larger than normal compartment trays. I think I need one especially with the number of different items found at potlucks. I lost track of those folks before I could ask where they got them. A Google search was no help....

Basement Cargo slide tray

Is the cost of these cargo slide trays worth it? Do you gain any more cargo space ? Are they removable for access to the under floor utilities? Who has the cheapest price for them?
