RE: What did you do to your Toy Hauler today???
Bought the XLR a Can-Am Spyder :)to go in it's garage. Love new toys for the hauler, especially when the DW approves. She's already making a list of where she wants to go ride that thing.:)
RE: Another XLR or not?
Because of the problem you are having with the crack, XLR is now using an expansion joint in that sidewall. Our 2011 has the expansion joint and we have had no problems with it. As far as the responsiveness of XLR to our concerns, I am very pleased with them. We have had very few problems with our 385X12 but when I have called them, even after the warranty period, they have been very helpful. I am very thankful for the factory's help because the dealer was worthless after the sale. If we ever buy another toyhauler, XLR will be at the top of the short list. Good luck with your problem.
RE: GMAC or State Farm motorhome insurance?
We have State Farm on Home and Autos and had the toyhauler with Good Sam/GMAC until this year. The reason we were with GMAC is because they include contents coverage on RV insurance (add up what it would cost to replace everything in the RV). However, this year GMAC increased the premium by more than 50%. We switched the toyhauler to State Farm and will assume the risk of the $1,500.00 deductible on the home owners insurance, which is where we would have to go for coverage on contents.
