Stayed at Persimmon Hill on Enid Lake quite a few times. Great paved sites with room between the sites.

We have a 1990 Tioga. I checked the book and it showed which was Gray and which was Black. However the book diagram is wrong. The larger value is Black the smaller one is Gray. (Know which is which as we had to have the Black one replaced this fall, it was leaking.)

How do you put something above cab?
We would like to use the space above the cab to store some light things. Would like to know what you have used so that nothing comes down during driving.

I just remembered they have a campground in Clinton near the river. I think it's city owned. We never camped there, but it looked nice when we drove thru it. You might want to check it out.

What did you do regarding seat belt.
We recently purchased a 1990 Tioga which I drive. I'm about 5'3" and need the seat up quite close. I find the seat belt keeps moving and eventually gets up across my neck. If I would stop fast, I think it would choke me. Did anyone else have this problem? How did you fix it?

We have not stayed at Thompson, but drove thru and it was nice. I know last year it was closed for quite a while as they we working on it most of the year. We camped in Hampton, IL last fall (next COE park down the road) and they were just starting to open up sites as they were getting finished working on them.

What type of unit do you have? We have never stayed at Nelson Dewey, but have drive through. When we went the sites weren't too big.

We have stayed at Grant River quite a few times. They have nice sites and most of them have concrete pads for your unit. They do have quite a few trains, but they have never kept us up at night. Also have stayed at Miller Riverview right behind the casino in Dubuque. You can beat the view. There is also a county park just outside of Dubuque - Swiss Valley which is very nice. Can't tell you about the phone service. I have Tracfone which works at all three of the parks.

We stayed at Sams Town Casino RV Park for many years. Haven't been there for the past four years. It was always nice and clean.

You might want to try Fishermans Corner in Hampton, IL. It's a COE park. It just up the road from Illiniwek. Even though Illiniwek doesn't take reservations, I've never seen it full.
