RE: Snakes

Get underneath that trailer with a mechanics creeper and caulk the snot out of every seam, crevice, nook, and cranny. Even if you think something is to small for a rodent to get in, it is not. Be sure the snake is out first. Bud

RE: Dry Camping - Outlets? We are New - Help

We have needed a few pieces of medical equipment for our daughter that an inverter and batteries have run in the past but now our daughter, after she gets released from her latest 6-month long hospital stay, will also need a respirator and dialysis so we are finished as far as RVing goes for the family. Very sorry to hear this news. We will lift up prayers for your daughter, you and family. BudnLiz

RE: How to rebuild a Hensley

Mark: Great job. The pics are a big help. This will help all HA owners keep a good working hitch. I subscribed to this thread so I won't have to ask again. Bud

RE: Hensley Refurbish

labman thanks for the reply. That's a good job and color match. Can you tell me the year of your hitch? Mine is about 1200 units older than yours. I've tried to get info from Hensley but they say they don't have a date for my number. Thanks, Bud

RE: Hensley Refurbish

Thanks guys. I guess the big decision is picking the color. Some pics I've seen of the repainted ones do look sharp. Although as Burbman suggests maybe from a security standpoint it would be better to leave it faded. Bud

Hensley Refurbish

About a year or so ago someone had an excellent post on refurbishing a HA. It included a lot of pictures. I've done numerous searches but can not find it. If the OP or someone has it saved I would sure appreciate the link. Thanks for your help. Bud

RE: A/C Shuts Off

It looks like your fan switch is on low. Running AC on low in hot, humid weather can cause a freeze up. Let it thaw for an hour or so then try running on high. Bud

RE: Opinions on Front Receiver Bike Racks

I have a Drawtite front receiver with a Swagman rack and it works fine. I do have a problem with the height of the receiver from the ground. It will drag on a steep drive way or on the concrete dividers in parking lots if I'm not careful. If I was doing it again I would take a hard look at the removable Bodiak. Bud

RE: Roadside assistance

We have had Good Sam ERS/CampingWorld ERS (they are the same- just rotate to get 'new' member discount) for many years. Man, I wished you had posted this yesterday. I just paid full price. Didn't think of your idea. Bud

RE: Georgia RVers Spring Rally , 15 - 17 May 2009

Jim: We'll have to miss again. My mom is doing well after hip replacement and we were thinking we could start camping again then last evening Liz slipped and has fractured her ankle. Not sure yet whether a cast will work or if surgery will be needed. Thanks for stepping in to keep the rallies going. Hope to see everyone soon. Bud
