RE: Rear Kitchen Question

RK here too, and no issues. Use plastic glasses and cups, rubber matting underneath, and small pillows/blankets to keep items from moving. Travel some on washboard gravel. Never had a door pop.
Wife loves the RK. No slides, though. Some newer models with slides will cover the fridge. Some have the fridge in the slide.

Lots of short people...
I need a stool to do anything with the bed, and to get up on the tailgate.
Used to get arm bruising from the tonneau rails...

RE: hooking up propane grill from your rv

I thought about adding a hook-up to our TT for the camp stove, but found this is much more beneficial. It provides a lot more freedom. I'm not restricted to just the length of the gas hose. And if we want to use the stove some place other than at the camper, this provides the portability. My mother gave me this bottle of propane. It was originally from a gas grill belonging to my sister. The grill died and I ended up with the bottle. I have the same bottle for at least 6 years now and still have not had to fill it yet.
The nice thing about this set-up is the portability. The Coleman "gas tree" has 3 connections on it. The very top is designed for a screw on Coleman gas light. The regulators are the regulators that came with the stoves.
You might want to rethink using the line on your camper. If the wind is blowing the wrong direction, or the sun is shining from the wrong angle, or the rain is blowing the wrong way, you're restricted to only the length of your hose.
When electricity when out at the house last fall, we pulled this out, set it up in the kitchen (in the house), and fixed up a couple means for ourselves and our neighbors. We had a great time too! Food sure has a way of bringing people together.

RE: A post with a number on it?

At least there are some pictures of the site, even if not the best.
My pet peeve is a campground that 99% of the pictures are NOT of the actual camping sites, but of the playground or laundry building, or somesuch.
Most times it is because the sites are lousy....

RE: F350 Sporadic Chucking While Towing

If the truck lost power during the event, and felt like it would stall, it is the cam sensor, happened to me. Was totally random, no problem now.

RE: replacement converter for parallax 7300

Yes, I did the PD4600 for my Magnetek replacement...slide out, slide in, new DC board with reverse polarity fuses,(which was the reason I needed the replacement...), and 3-stage charging, plus a boost button when needed.

I believe the correct spelling is 2oldman or somesuch. If you are going to slam someone at least spell their name right.

RE: This Forum and Fiver investment

I'd like to take this opprotunity to point out how lucky the RV community is for having this forum available to us and expecially the newbies, before my (considerable)purchase of my truck and fiver i did most of my research here and got what i have told others unlimited, valuable knowlege and experience! when you look at what the manufacturers are asking for these fiver's and trucks i really believe aside from a direct friend or family member that this forum can and very likley has saved someone considerable money and grief!!
Well done!!

RE: DEEP CYCLE BATTERY RUNNING REFRIGERATOR?

Once, after returning from a trip, and not going out again for awhile, I forgot to leave the fridge door open. Remembered 2 days later. The pop inside was still cold. This a 1992 fridge.
So, drive with it on propane, or don't. If it is cold before you leave, it will last the drive.
Just remembered, ran the fridge on DC power once while driving. Drained the battery on a 2 hour drive.....

RE: How much water to use when flushing

We have a 30 gallon black tank and always put 5 gallons of water in after a dump. DW gets priority use, I get emergency middle of the night use only. The rest of the time I get the campground facilities, if any, if not then I get the forest.
Can go 2 weeks till full.

RE: Riddle me this - Fridge Issue

The fridge seemed to be working, although can't verify, didn't check anything.
The fridge will not start on propane only. Will start propane ok on auto.
Generator is Honda 2000i.
Thanks

Riddle me this - Fridge Issue

So, I am boondocking, fridge on propane, all is good.
Fire up the generator to charge up batteries, fridge switches to AC, still good. About an hour in, happen to walk by the fridge, and both the AC and LP fridge lights are on?
Did this randomly for 2 weeks, LP light sometimes on, sometimes off, sometimes dim, sometimes bright? AC light on all the time while plugged in.
Thanks
