RE: How do you wipe a hard drive ?

The hard drive disks shatters like glass when hit by a 22 bullet. Two for the price of one. Target shooting and HD wipe. If the computer is dead anyways, who cares what the cause is. New HD's are cheap if you need one.

RE: What is the Cost of a Voltage Spike????

Voltage Spike? It sounds like somebody else in the park tried to use a “cheater” by plugging into two different receptacles to get 30 amps and back fed 240 volts into the 120 volt system. Yes it happens more often than you think. A surge protector will not save you from this, only an overvoltage cutout will. I have seen a similar incident happen in a residency. A surge protector is still a good investment.

RE: Can I get SiriusXM at home....Big trees blocking south ?

I have one XM receiver that bounces between three (GMC) vehicles and three fixed locations. I do not want to pay for multiple service. The extra antennas and mounts are available at rummage sales for just a buck or two. The antennas work better if attached to something metallic like a two pound coffee can or a fence post. The sound systems are also rummage sale computer speaker systems and are very cheap.

RE: Where's the best place to put the generator?

I keep mine (4500)in the truck bed. Tri-fold hard cover keeps it hide when not towing and is also chained to the bed. Noise and fumes not a problem.

RE: Best rig ? Need opinions.

I could write a book on your question and still not give you a positive answer. Lesser traveled usually means four wheel drive. Easy set up/break down means bed and breakfast. Where are you going to leave the rig while you are day trippin’? How do you want to fill the propane tanks? How/where will you get electricity, water or dump the tanks? The rig you use will answer these questions. You will have to plan your travel around the type of rig you buy. Just remember to get a true four seasons rig.

RE: Which TV is best for my 5Wheel

The last four LED/LCD TV's I bought were Samsung. 32 - 55 inch, all 1080 if you want to use them for a computer monitor. Good viewing angles. I bought them at close to half price because they were floor models. Not a problem with any of them. The 32 (first purchase) has moved from room to room in the house and is now in the 5th wheel.

RE: It Falls Off

If the dash mat is porous, you need to find a liquid with a little body in it to fill in the holes so the suction cup can seal. I always spit on it and it works just fine. Do it in a warm vehicle so that when it gets cold and the air shrinks it still stays on. Visa/Versa and it will fall off as soon as the interior of the vehicle warms up.

RE: Why do people do such stupid things?

Practice makes perfect. Do something stupid and it is so much easier to do it the next time.
