RE: Here is something to chew on.......

Why should the consumer worry about the American made content of anything? The manufacturers don't care, the stock market doesn't care, even our government doesn't care. Unfortunately, the consumer cannot induce enough concern to overcome the complacency of business and government. Our greatest export is technology, which we blindly give away. :(
Agricultural products are the Number 1 export for the U.S.A., thank a Farmer.

They closed in 08 I was at the auction End of June as I remember and as far as fit and finish as nice as I have ever seen didn't see a one with a accordion door
Beg to differ. We have friends with an early Alpine that has the accordion door which closes off the bedroom.
Beg all you want I was refering to the one I seen and they were new not older ones.

RE: alpine coaches

Alpine made a beautiful coach with one of the best chassis' on the market. We toured the plant years ago and it was like they were building cars for NASCAR. With that said, their quality took a nose dive in the models they built in the last two years. The fit/finish was terrible. I even saw a new one at the Pomona RV Show that a baseball size bump in the fiberglass front slide. I think they went out of business around 03 or 04.

RE: Shock Absorbing Pin Boxes for 5th Wheels

I Sell Demco's farm equipment products and they are truly a customer orientated company with top notch products and service to match are they on the bottom of the price ladder no but they do not run from an issue if there is one. I currently have the prototype that Lippert designed and showed there dealers in 2003 it was on the show unit they had with the hyd. slides and landing gear also had a slide out patio. When I sold the unit I swapped out the hitch from the Alpenlite. Plans are to buy a Demco RG this year and sell the Lippert to a buddy.

RE: Tires

Have you WEIGHED your rig? Best if you weigh each wheel. On my last two TT's one tire carried 20% different weight than the other three. I talked to folks who do 4-wheel weighing, and they said that is very common. An overloaded tire will wear as you describe.
Just a thought.
X2 could try a bit more air in that tire or move some weight if you can

RE: Looking at 5th wheels. Need advise

Check out Alpenlite LTD. no longer in business but very well built, residential floor coverings, corian counter tops, extra large fresh and holding tanks don't let the name fool you they are a bit heavy.

RE: Fresh water pump problems

Make sure you clean all your faucet screens WELL, especially the one that wasn't working. ;)
if one works but other doesn't...that happens often.
If its more than one spot (did you flush toilet? Check bathroom and kitchen faucet?) then maybe it's an air lock issue.
Lastly. Not sure of your rig but 25 gallons isn't much in my fresh tank and it takes some time to pressurize that much "empty space"
You don't pressurize the water tank the pump works on suction, as long as there is water in th tank it should pump if not air locked and air lock situation happens on the pressure side. Inducing air into system can come from low or no water in tank or air entering suction side due to cracked line or bad connection at pump or filter assy

RE: Shower advice please!

Suction cup baskets work well spray a bit of cooking oil (pam) on suction cups as it will not dry out and cups stay secure.
