RE: Excessive Vet costs?

Remove the stitches yourself. Your niece could tell you how to do it properly, or google it. I hate getting ripped off, too. Cat Lady

RE: Source for windshield washer fluid reservoir

I have a 2000 Winnebago Brave. The reservoir split all over from age. I went to NAPA and ordered it but I could have gotten it from the Chevy dealership. Can't hurt to try. Cat

RE: Easy question - Direct TV - What satellite number?

I wasn't trying to hijack the thread and I don't believe the other posters thought I was. How about cutting me some slack. I had a question, they answered politely, I appreciate it. I don't need your snide comments. To the other responders, again, I appreciate your help. Cat

RE: Easy question - Direct TV - What satellite number?

Cloud Dancer, I do that already. I'm trying to learn how to use the smart phone apps and keep up with newer technology. In other words, I'm older...I'm getting lazier... I want something easy(ier). Whatever the reason/no reason, I'd like to learn how to do it and use more of my rv/camping/navigation apps; otherwise, might as well not have bother getting this smart phone and the apps. I hope folks will cut me some slack when I ask dumb-to-them questions they already know the answers to. Thank you for your patience while I learn. Cat

RE: Bacon grease

I remember my folks using it for seasoning in dried beans, etc. Or, Grandma would use it over "wilted lettuce" (really mustard greens). Tear up the greens. Chop up boiled eggs over the greens, add some green onions w/bulb, and add crumbled fried bacon. Have cornbread ready on the side if wanted. Heat the bacon grease but don't smoke/burn it. When hot, immediately pour it over the greens grab your fork and dig in. Lord, that was good! I can feel my arteries hardening right now, lol. They would also use bacon drippings to make Coffee Gravy. In a heavy black skillet, fry big pieces of ham. Remove from skillet and set aside. Pour in left over coffee to heat, stirring well. Salt and pepper to taste. Pour over sliced biscuits and enjoy. My dad used to add just a touch of mustard and stir it in well. Biscuits, coffee gravy, and ham. Delicious! 'Course now you're not suppose to eat all that good stuff but when times are hard, it doesn't matter...you have to make do. Cat Lady

RE: Easy question - Direct TV - What satellite number?

Bill, I don't have HD either so apparently I need the same satellite as the OP. Cat

RE: Easy question - Direct TV - What satellite number?

Is it DirecTV SL3 (99W, 101W, 103W) 101.0 West? I'm green at this stuff but I'm trying hard to learn. Thanks for any help you can lend. Cat Lady

RE: Positioning coach at fuel pump

My son-in-law taught me to stop the rear tires in front of the gas pump, maybe a few inches ahead...not much, and that would be perfect for refueling. He was absolutely right. No guessing. I slide the driver's side screen window, and look outside. Works every time. Good luck. Cat Lady

RE: Do you tell the office you have a cat?

I tell them I have 3 inside only cats. The 2 white ones are deaf...the orange one doesn't listen either and she's a girl. In case something happens to me, or, God forbid, there's a fire or whatever, I'd like someone to try to save them. Cat Lady

RE: Campgrounds between Baton Rouge & Lafayette

Go here to pick out a suitable park. Can't usually go wrong with RVParkReviews. You can decide where you want to stay based on cost and amenities. Have fun and good luck. Cat Lady

Sounds like the Angel Food Network. It bit the dust a couple of years ago. Cat Lady

RE: Cleaning Battery Terminals

Several years ago we stopped to help a trucker that was broken down on the side of the road. No cell phones (see, I told you it was a long time ago) so he couldn't call his company. The battery was badly corroded. I don't go anywhere without a Coke. He said a Coke would fix the problem...I gave him one. He poured it all over the top of that battery, post and all. It boiled like crazy. After a few minutes to allow it to work, he got in and cranked the truck. Taught me to never go without my Coke, lol. Cat Lady

RE: 3 small dogs

Thousand Trails allows three. If you're not a member, you can still camp there at a higher rate. OR, you can get the Zone Pass. If I'm not mistaken, I got something from them recently offering a second zone pass at a good deal. You might want to check them out. Cat Lady

But it's not "sleazy" or "fradulent" enough to stop frequenting this forum and posting this kind of remark? :h At least you have freedom of speech. Cat Lady
