RE: Help with surround

I run a digital optical from the Direct receiver to the surround receiver. Just make sure that you switch it to the digital mode on the surround receiver when you watch TV. DVD's take care of themselves. Works for me.

RE: If all is not lost...

If you don't know where it is it is probably mine. So don't worry about it.

RE: Any compressor experts here?

If you are as stubborn as I am you will get it fixed regardless of the china junk comments. Us retired guys have all the time in the world and work for $0 an hour.

RE: B&w Bolt torque

Hard for me to see how the hitch could move around like that if it was properly bolted to the frame and the Companion was properly cinched down. What am I missing here? However, mine is in a GMC, but cant see how that would make a difference.

RE: cabin air filters

RE: TV would not sell so I had to use the F word

Replaced the stick home water heater. Trash company wanted $20 to take old one. Put the F word on it a hauled it to the corner. Gone in 15 minutes.

RE: Greystone Fireplace

Ours has the wood trim pin nailed to the fireplace opening. I pried it off with a stiff putty knife to get at the screws to take the glass out to clean. I put the trim back on with Velcro so I could get at it easier the next time.

RE: Let realtor show house while you are snowbirding?

I would let them show it. The way our neighbor hood is deteriorating I would hate to see what comes traipsing in anyway.

RE: 2013 Motor Trend truck of the Year

A 1/2 ton 4 door with a 5' box is hardly a "TRUCK". It's more like a car with a pouch in back. Reminds me of when they made the Honda Ridgeline "truck of the year" :R

RE: air compressor

I made a post about the Harbor Freight 150 psi pancake compressor just a few weeks ago. Attracted a group of HF haters. I bought one anyway for $99.99 on black Friday. Daaamn good compressor! I just brought up my tires from 95-110 lbs is short order. Worked better than my 30 gal 150 Craftsman and I didn't have near the effort taking it to the trailer, plus I can take it with me. I can turn the psi down to about 40 lbs. with the blow gun, which I use most of the time, and the air will last seemingly forever. I first purchased a Porter Cable and sent it back because it wouldnt hold air. Comparing the PC and the HF I like the design better with the HF and quality is as good if not better than the PC. The PC pressure adjustment knob was extremely hard to turn and I skinned my knuckle on the quick coupler next to it. The HF knob turns in and out with two fingers. GREAT purchase. RE: Surface Mount Windows?

Our Cardinal has the frameless windows and the only drawback is they do not open very far. That's what I don't like about them. We are generally located where a fresh breeze is more desirable then A/C.

RE: Cheap Directv swim 21 volt alignment meter?

My meter is called "Renee" I turn dish and "Renee" yells the signal strength out the window or over a walkie talkie. However, expensive to maintain.

RE: Getting lots of SPAM

Yep, answered a questionnaire from a form advertiser offering a drawing for cash. Doubled up my junk mail. I jumped their butt about it. Said it was a coincidence. Yeah, sure.
