RE: Which would you choose and why?

I have owned a Pleasure Way Unit. I liked it better than a Roadtrek. It all depends on what you want in a unit. Each of us are different.

RE: Downsizing to B+

I had a 2009 Pleasureway B. I kick my royal behind for upsizing to a B+. I spent 3 months in it in Arizona and never had a issue. Drove great and was easy to handle and park. My 2010 Itasca Cambria which I have now is also well built. It also stood up very well to road travel and another 3 months in Arizona. I believe in my case the quality was great, no problems with it. Mileage with the B was around 18mpg and the Itasca was around 10mpg.

RE: mpg estimate?

I must admit I always wondered why any one would post about motor homes and miles per gal, after all here you are just about moving a home down the road and thinking about MPG is there something wrong the the picture LOL. I was always told if you needed to know you don't need it. I was told if you needed it then you can't afford it.

RE: What did you do to your Class C MH today???

I drove my RV for the first time ever today! Not far, just to the Shell station a few miles down the road, but there is no damage to the RV or mailboxes or street signs or anything. That's a good start. LOL

RE: How do you Remove Velvac RV Mirrors

I have seen those maps in RV Parts stores, CW and RV Accessories stores. I find or see them all the time.

RE: B+ spare tire storage

If you got a ladder on back I would chain it to that. I use my ladder to carry my lawn chairs. Works ok for me.

RE: leveling jacks

Its a nice conveniences as Road Dog says. Do you need them no, but its better than piling up blocks to get level. I have them and would not be with out them. I have been told or maybe read some place that the newer fridges do not have to be as level as the old ones. I don't know if that is true or not.

RE: Disable Awning?

The $3300 is including the security deposit and the insurance deductible of $1000 since my insurance won't extend to the RV, so I should be getting all that back *fingers crossed*. It comes down to being a little pricier than our past rentals, but we've had nothing but problems with the previous rentals of older models. Never will I consider Cruiseamerica's rent-a-wrecks again, that was a lesson learned. Thanks---------That sounds a bit better.

RE: Disable Awning?

$4000 sounds like a pile of money for one week. I could stay in some pretty nice places for that amount. Just saying.

RE: Driving a class C

We are going to be purchasing a new class C but it will probably be one on a Chevy Chassis. Are these modifications ( alignment, stabilizer bars, shock absorbers, rear track bars and Caster adjustments) found by some to be necessary on the Chevy's as well? Sam The question I ask is why are we as buyers getting all these extras put on to make the ride smoother. Should they not be put on when we buy these units, so they all drive properly and handle properly. I think the industry is getting out of hand and we are buying possible unsafe units.
