RE: Bad Experience @ Camping World Winchester VA

I do want to follow this up by saying we had a message on our answering machine 2 days ago from the general manager of the camping world store in winchester apologizing for the behavior of his employees and that he had spoken to them about the situation. I do appreciate the gesture.

RE: My report on Fresh Cab mice repellant

We used cab fresh , peppermint oil and dryer sheets. Also kept all food out and they still got in. The only thing that helped was to find openings and put steel wool in them, set mouse traps and had success. Good luck I hate those buggers.

RE: Lewis RV, Dayton sez, "Please don't call here again, ma'am!"

There are a multitude of jerks in the world and the unfortunately you fell victim to some! I am amazed how horrible customer service has become! Life is too short to be treated horribly. There are plenty of RVs out there keep looking and be happy you didn't buy from these no customer service jerks!

Bad Experience @ Camping World Winchester VA

My husband and i were at Camping World in Winchester VA returning a Magellan Road Mate that we had purchased from Camping World in Myrtle Beach SC. The GPS would keep randomly shutting down while we were travelling. We purchased the protection plan through Camping World at the time of original purchase as well. We called ahead today as the nearest Camping World store is 1 & 1/2 hours away from our home, told them of the problem and were told no problem bring it in. As soon as we arrived we went to the service desk, told the rude employee why we were there and he said " I cant help you today with that and i dont think my manager can as well but he is at lunch" His tone was extreemly rude. We proceeded to go outside and call Camping world protection plan hotline. We were told that it was no problem to return it and it should be done same day. When we went back into the store the manager had returned and we were met with distain. We informed them we had called and were told that we were entitled to a return of the product. The manager said he "didnt even know if they had one in stock." They had 5. We were able to return it and get a replacement, but when i spend almost $400 on a product that doesnt work to begin with i dont want to take******from an employee on top of things! I will NEVER purchase a high dollar item from Camping World again.

RE: Norcool refig cooling

Our Norcold is doing the same thing. So much so we are saving up to replace it with either a residential fridge or an Amish cooling unit. Good luck and if you find a solution please share.

RE: Yet ANOTHER question re: residental fridge install

Thanks for the many responses! We will ask our local RV dealer how much they will charge for the residential switch with no extra batteries and no updrade to the inverter. If they charge too much we will price amish cooling units to compare pries. Wii let you knoow how it turnes out! Thanks too all for your input!

Yet ANOTHER question re: residental fridge install

Hi all! I dont want to sound like a dufas, but am i correct in assuming that if i dont boondock, I can install a residental fridge without upgrading my inverter & not adding more batteries? We have a 2012 Ventanna LE 3843 with a Norcold double door fridge that will NOT stay cool. Also after hearing all the fire stories related to Norcold I am concerned for my family's saftey. Thank you in advance for any advice.

RE: Maryland Class B drivers license

Leaddog I have a Md class B motorhome only licenses took the test last year. They don't make you take off the wheel covers they just make you explain what you would do to check the brakes and tires. Other than that you just walk around the rig and explain to them what you would check and why. The test does include an air brake section in which you will actually show them how to make sure your brakes are working properly. It all can be completed 20 minutes as long asyou don't talk too muchabout anyone topic. After that its on to the road and cone test which isn't hard if you have driven your rig before. They are very strict on grading especially during the air brake portion. If you miss any step in the sequence you fail any have to come back. Let me know if you have any questions.

Diamond shield blistering.

Has anyone else had problems with their diamond shield coating blistering and popping? We have a 2012 Newmar Ventanna and there are 4 places on the front where it has developed blisters that have popped. We have not hit anything nor has anything hit us as is evident with the paint being perfectly intact. We have contacted Newmar and diamond shield who have both declined to fix it. I just wanted to see if this has happened to anyone else. Thanks for replies in advance.
