RE: power bay door locks not working

I had trouble with my key pad, not the remote on my 2006 HR Scepter. It went on the Fritz (no disrespect to my German friends intended) and lock would unlock and unlock would lock. Cummins Coach Care reprogrammed and all is well.

RE: expensive "piece of mind"

Sounds odd that Monaco would take the cooling system apart. Seems to me the chassis arrives as a package and they build around it.
Unfortunately, Monaco built the Roadmaster chassis as well.

RE: Replaced 2 - 6 volt battieres - hard job

Unlock the battery compartment, slide the roller mounted tray out, disconnect the cables, remove batteries, reverse procedure to install new ones.
Funny, that's how I did it too.

RE: Cummins Engine Failures

Is everyone assuming that all that money is being put away just for the recall we are all aware? It's just as likely the money is being set aside to cover some other recall of which we are unaware.

RE: Adding house batteries to late model HR

There should be plenty of room on the battery trays. Ours has room for at least 2 more, on the "house" tray, and 2 on the "chassis" tray.
My Scepter is not a tag and only 40 feet long. Trust me, the battery compartment is full.

RE: Adding house batteries to late model HR

What I think I will do is take the 2 engine batteries out of the first shelf and install the 4 6 volt there. Then in the engine compartment on the 2" x 2" bar that crosses from left to right weld a box there for the 2 engine batteries. What do you think of that idea.
Not being a mechanic, it sounds like a very good idea. Would the road spray that may infiltrate the engine compartment pose any problems?

Adding house batteries to late model HR

Has anyone added house batteries to the standard 4 6 volt batteries that come with the Endeavor/Scepter; Diplomat/Camelot (and probably others).
I have an 06 Scepter with 4 house batteries in an outside compartment with a slide out tray with no more room. I have AGM's and want to add four more probably in the pass through bay with the converter, water heater, water pump, etc in it. Just need to know how I would "tie" them in to existing 12 volt supply/inverter/charger, etc. Any thoughts?

RE: Country Coach Files for Involuntary Bankruptcy

Involuntary bankruptcy is different can be different for each state.
The bankruptcy laws are federal statutes and do not vary by state. Exemptions may vary by state, but not the substantive law.

RE: Flying J applying for bankruptcy???

too bad most of you wouldn't have a clue how to function in the industry and typical of the ignorant masses think you are somehow entitled to cheap fuel and laugh when one of the better discount sellers of it files for bankruptcy.
Yikes!

RE: ISL Engine Brake - - Where Is It??

So where is the engine brake?
In my 2006 PDQ Scepter the exhaust brake is under the hatch in the bedroom in front of the closet.

RE: Planning a Trip to Southern Utah

I would definitely NOT recommend Zion River in Virgin.
Well, just goes to show, everybody has a different perspective. We had a great time and will be sure to go back.

RE: Email To Workhorse!

I think Workhorse should listen to the folks that own their chassis to find out what we really want. Already today I have spoken with two pretty smart members of this RV forum and both feel that a 40 gallon fuel tank is a non-starter or simply put, a bad idea! Bagman.
If you are not going to buy one, what do you care?

RE: Fuel Filter Change 2006 ISL

Many posts on this forum recommend buying diesel only at clean name-brand truck stops with high traffic - but don't fill when they are having their tanks replenished.
Flying J when on road trips, but almost always at a high volume truck stop. I have 36,000 miles on coach so it gets used. Winter storage with full tank and biocide. Change filters as part of annual service.
Aside from those, I have had 2 occasions in 2 years where check engine light comes on with significant reduction in power. Problems resolve with new fuel filters (I plan on cutting those bad boys open the next time to see what is clogging them). So, on average I get 6 months on a set.

Fuel Filter Change 2006 ISL

Yes, its true, I am not mechanical but would like info on changing fuel filters as mine clog with some regularity. Aforementioned engine is ensconced in a 2006 HR Scepter. My recollection is to replace both filters (I see where they are and have the right Fleetguard filters) and turn ignition to the first position for some period of time to "prime" the filters with fuel. Am I close?

RE: 05 Beaver-Does not acknowledge Honda 2000i Generator

I had similar situation. For my situation, it was the adapter plug used to knock down the fifty amp plug to accept the extension cord into the Honda.
