RE: Dually Valves on F53, which grommet?

Correct, I am replacing the original equipment short stems. Outside had a 1 inch extension (facing in) and I could get to it with dual foot guage. Inside had about 8" braided flexible extension and could get to it ok also. Had had problems with braided flexible extensions on a previous MH and just wanted to go to solid metal stems before I add TPMS sensors. The "Dually Valves" came with 2 sizes of rubber grommets. If there was a correct one to use on the 19.5 Accuride steel rims (#29875), I wanted to know before I turned them over to the tire shop guy. Comments appreciated. This is a great forum.

Dually Valves on F53, which grommet?

For anyone that has installed Dually Valve stems on a Ford F53, can you tell me which size rubber grommet was required ? The kit comes with two sizes and I am told that you may not know which size is required till you pull out the old stem. I will have someone install them and would like to know that the tire guy installs the correct grommet. I have an 06 F53 with 19.5 Accuride steel rims.
Thanks

Dell & HP adapters interchangeable??

We have a Dell laptop that came with a 19.5 volt 65 watt adapter. Also have a HP laptop that came with a 18.5 volt 65 watt adapter.
The plugs that go into the laptops are identical. Can we use the adapters interchangeable with either laptop?? Thanks

RE: dealer for Doran tire pressure monitor

Thanks to all replys. Actually I have drastic high frequency hearing loss (even with hearing aids), but hear lower frequencies ok. I do not think I will be able to hear the alarm on on any unit I buy. I am wanting one where the visual alarm will grab your attention. From the pictures, it looked like the Doran might come the closest. Any thoughts from users of any brand would be appreciated.

"The distribution problem seems to be overcome, now that CW is on board. Perhaps more actual owners can report on these units."
"Presure Pro - been around the longest. Monitors pressure & temp."
I think the long thread last year about distribution problems and charging without delivering was not with Hopkins, but with Saf-Tee. New distributor is TST and has been getting good reports.
I do not have a Pressure Pro, but I do not think it measures temperature.

RE: AT&T cell phone as modem

We have the v3xx and have been very satisfied with it. Using it to connect the laptop to the internet works great on 3G or EDGE network.

RE: AT&T cell phone as modem

Just recently used ATT "Data Connect" feature (sometimes called "Laptop Connect") with my Motorola ATT phone on their 3G network. If you are not in a 3G area, it will use the EDGE network. It is an add on feature and can be put on or taken off as needed. It is sort of expensive, but works pretty good. I got anywhere from 200 kbs to 1700 kbs at different times. They have 3 different plans, the most expensive is is similiar to an Air Card in price, $60 a month for 5 GB. Probably not as easy or fast as an Air Card, but no contract required. Cost is pro-rated @ about $2 per day if you add or remove in the middle of a month. Also you can't talk on the phone while you surf the internet. That was no problem for us since we had two phones (internet access only on one). All that is needed is a free software download and a cable with USB on one end and mini USB on the other. Pretty common cable that you may already may have if you have a digital camera. In our case the 5GB was far more than we needed, but the $40 plan would not have been enough and we would have had to limit our use or run over the limit and incur some expensive time. You can watch your data usage by checking your account online as often as you want. Hope this helps. Dick
