When I used to haul over sized loads back in the seventies we had to have a lead escort with a pole the height of my load. They had to be far enough ahead so they had time to warn me of a low clearance. The pole was attached to there vehicle.
What happened to his escort?????

Seems like they all do this
We are shopping for a new car. We would like a navigation system. We don't want leather seats. So far every site I go to and build and price a car they won't build one with the nav system unless it has leather. :h
The only way I see around it is to get a lower trim model with the cloth seats and get an after market nav system installed.
If I build and price a lower trim level with cloth seats and add the nav system it adds leather seats. What ever happened to giving the customer what they want.

how to remove musty smell from winter storage
We are getting our fiver ready and it smells musty from winter storage. What is good to use to freshen it up? Lemons,fabreez,coffee grounds?

How long does it take to wipe a hard drive?
About a month ago we bought a new lap top from QVC. We have had nothing but problems with it. The biggest is the touch pad would freeze and the courser would disappear. QVC said it was OK to return it. I didn't want to return it with our info on it so I called tech support and asked if they could wipe the hard drive.
It's been going for three hours now and it's only up to 20%. Is this normal?

Back in 1975 I got my CB license. It was KIZ 4069. That same year I bought A big truck and started driving coast to coast and border to border. So I started using Donald Duck. Then one of my friends started calling me double D and that's what its been since. I still have a CB in the dually.

Well Christmas came early for my wife. HSN had a special on HP 17.3" lap top. It has windows 8,lifetime tech support and life time anti virus from McAfee. It also comes with Microsoft office 2013 and 1TB of memory. :E

Today on QVC they are having a special on HP lap tops. I think they have windows 8 installed. The 17" is around $700.00. I'm using my new 17" dell lap top I got from QVC. It was in the $700.00 range with 2 years dell tech support. It won't cost anything to check it out. I think it comes on at 2 Pm here on the east coast.

I just finished my 3 hour session with Dell. My wife's lap top is 99.9% fixed. The tech said the biggest problem was the registry and to many tool bars. He got Firefox 20 installed and up graded IE from 6 to 8. He checked how much free space was left and the size of the files he was going to down load. All those tool bars came in with that coupon printer program,I think. That's when all this trouble started. The anti virus I had installed couldn't be used. The tech said it couldn't be opened because the operating system has a problem. So he is e-mailing me a one year subscription for McAfee. I watched him try many times and different way's to open the program but it just wouldn't open. That was the first program I lost when all this corruption started. This morning I was trying to remove some of those tool bars. I got two removed then the add/remove stopped working. Oh I almost forgot,We had to reinstall the drivers too. Some of them were damaged and missing.
He too had a problem trying to uninstall things so he installed a different program and it worked very well. He left it on there in case I have any problems uninstalling again.
We just spent $700.00+ on my new lap top so my wife's lap top has to last until Christmas. But I think I ll let her use mine if her's dies :W

I'm disappointed in Dell. Yesterday they were supposed to call me back when they were done. They didn't call. So I still don't know what the problem was. It still isn't fixed 100%. They were able to get it working again in regular mode. But I still can't get Firefox to install. Also a few months back when we had to reinstall the drivers in my wife's lap top Dell also installed system mechanics professional. Some time in this current event a part of that program went mia so now that doesn't work.
So I have to call India again today to get them to finish the job. My wife and I like Mozilla Firefox browser. So they will have to get it reinstalled. When I try to install it I get a pop up that says the previous install has to finish and I have to restart. I got that message the very first time I tried to reinstall Firefox.:h
As you can tell I'm not very computer savvy. I'm from the generation before television.

I got my draft notice back in 1961. Just after I got married. I filled out the forum they sent and sent it back. They sent back a new draft card that was 4-A They put me to the back of the line because my wife was pregnant. I was all ready to go to Vietnam . Not sure if that was the reason or not. They never said. I still have that draft card but at 71 years old I don't think they will be drafting me. :W

I think I tried everything suggested above and none of them worked. Not even hijackthis.
So I called Dell and they have been working on it for a few hours now. They said they would call back when they are done. I can hear my wife's laptop working in the background.
The error message that kept popping up. The tech said he can't find it in the registry.
Every time I tried something new the computer got worse. It got to the point that it would not work on regular mode.Only in safe mode on IE. I lost Mozilla Firefox.
When they are done Ill let you know what they say it was. That is if they can fix it. This is starting to snow ball like my desk top did before I had to replace it with this new laptop I'm using now with Windows 8.

When I tried to load MSE I clicked the download and I got the save this. I clicked save this and didn't get the download screen in the upper left corner, So I couldn't click the run tab. Same thing with anything I try to download. I even tried to uninstall Firefox and that didn't work. I also tried what Gary suggested. I found the uninstall coupon suzy link. It didn't work either.
I have system Mechanics in her computer and that doesn't help at all. Even tho I used IE to down load this program it isn't doing this on IE.

We are using Firefox. But we had to use IE to install the coupon printer. Firefox wouldn't download it. It didn't post a warning about the site,it just wouldn't down load.

I tried start run msconfig and it wasn't there.
I tried safe mode to uninstall and that wouldn't work either.
I did a system restore and that seemed to work for a while but it popped back up again.
I will try some of the sites mentioned above. If one works I will let you know.

OK Sheriff glad i could help. Just so you know. When I bought mine they didn't have an on board battery or an alternator. They were set up to run off the truck batteries. But now I see on there web site they are offering a battery option for $199.00. I'm sure for that price it must include an alternator. If I were you I would call them to be sure.
I had mine shipped to my rv dealer because you need a fork lift to get it off the delivery truck.
You won't be disappointed. I also got the remote control start.

The exhaust goes straight up. I don't remember the cost but it was more then $2000.00. I have a decibel meter and it is the same as my two Honda 2000's where. You can stand next to it and carry on a normal conversation. Also it weighs 365# dry.

Can't uninstall a program.
On my wife's laptop. She has windows XP. The program that is causing problems is a coupon printer for windows. Since it has been installed it takes over the computer. When the laptop reboots it doesn't go to the verizon home page. It goes to the coupon home page. To get to Verizon home page we have to type in the verizon home page address. If I go to the control panel and try add/remove it says invalid uninstall. If I try to uninstall it from the start menu I get the same message. Also when I try to leave the control panel page I can't. I have to shut down and restart. When I'm on the verizon home page I click on make verizon my home page and it over rides that command too. ?????
