RE: KS tpk;Hwy 54; AZ Bush Hwy-Usery Pass Rd.

I agree with taking 75 into Topeka. Then I would jump on the turnpike, which also excepts credit cards, to Emporia. At Emporia take highway 50, a real nice drive to Wichita where you can pick up 54. Pratt county lake is a good overnight spot. I like 54 as far as you want to take it. There are several ways you can go west off of 54 in NM.

RE: Dog Canyon, Guadalupe National Park

I am refering to the site at the end of NM Hwy 137. I believe it is actually in Tx at it's end. I have been as far as the ridge abve Dog Canyon on Forest Rd 540 but never down to Dog Canyon In the NP itself. I am going in Dec., only curious as to wether others had been there. The less answers I recieve I will take as a good sign. This place is so remote it surprises the ranger when people actually show up. Dave

Dog Canyon, Guadalupe National Park

Any of you been to Dog Canyon on the north side of Guadalupe N.P.? It is 70 miles out and very remote. First hand info would be welcome, rig size, time of year etc. Thanks, Dave

RE: Las Vegas

My wife , son( now 5), and I have spent 10 days at mainstreet station each of the last two years at Christmas/New Years. This year will be six days due to job and travel distance. No it is not in the prime part of town but you can walk to Fremont street and get the experience and drive to the strip when you want to. The security is good at Mainstreets RV Parking lot and the lighting is excellent for walking to Fremont Street Casino area. Dave

People that probably should not RV

Got any stories ? Here's one. Was in RV store and a women asked clerk if she had a net or tarp or something to cover the RV. Said she could not sleep a wink at night when a twig or acorn fell and hit the roof. I know some of you have better ones than this.

RE: Scenic route from Tulsa, OK to Rapid City, SD?

Ignore the other posters, Take 75 N.,pick up 400 W. at Neodesha. At Pickrell Corner take 77 N. Pick up 56 W. to Mcphearson. North on I-135 to Salina, 81 N. to 36 W. to 83 N. to North Platte. After that your on your own. Take your time and enjoy the trip, people only say there is nothing to see because they are in a hurry to get somewhere else and then can't wait to get home or somewhere else again. If your not sure about this route add lib along the way. This part of the world is easy to negotiate. Dave

RE: Any Goodyear G114-LHT problems out there?

My G114 on Aluminum rims arrive Thursday and will be installed Friday. Had a G614 tread seperation last week, will not tow any farther than to get them changed. $1500 damage to trailer, I should have changed them before seperation. Not a cheap fix but I will be a lot more relaxed. Have not found one post about G114 failure. Just my opinion.

Tire Size ?

If an 06 F250 Diesel comes with 17" tires stock and 3.73 rear end, what does going to 18" tires and wheels do to mileage etc.?

RE: But one more 'gas station' experience!

Reminds me of my first marriage and step kids. Even negative attention was better than none at all. Or is it that some people just find it impossible to think about anyone but themselves. Or some people really just do not care. Or Or Or
