Dometic Universal Power Module Kit

Just wondering if anyone here has installed Dometic's 3308741.002 Universal Power Module Kit on a Dometic DM2652. In particular, I'm looking for a completed photo as I don't think the wiring schematic included with the kit is 100% accurate. It does not show the thermofuse at all. Thanks in advance for any help you're able to offer!

RE: Receiver on bumper for flagpole?

I can't see how that would hurt anything...

RE: Receiver on bumper for flagpole?

OK here goes...I bought a 2" female flange and two u-bolts and attached them as shown-notice that there is a u-bolt on each side of the bumper support tube. I also purchased an 18" x 2" galvanized pipe with threaded male fittings. The pipe screws into the flange and provides a rock solid method of mounting my flag pole. I don't leave the pipe in except when in use, as it partially obscures one of my taillights. I use a sectioned aluminum pole like the one pictured and it works out great. I've never felt so much as a quiver of the trailer and flown up to two flags at a time in up to a 30 mph wind. Any wind over 35-40 mph, you should be taking the setup down anyway. http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k483/DWolfrom/20130318_143145.jpg height=480 width=509http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k483/DWolfrom/20130318_143214.jpg height=480 width=640http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k483/DWolfrom/20130318_143224.jpg height=480 width=640http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k483/DWolfrom/20130318_143409.jpg height=214 width=640

RE: Mount Rushmore SD

What are you going to do for a week in Mt. Rushmore? The monument can be experienced in a couple of hours and you will spend that much time in the gift shop with wall to wall people. Even taking the bus tour of it and Crazy Horse and Black Hills only , take takes one day. Another bus tour to the Badlands is another day. What then? I'll have to disagree with Dick on this one. Lots to do in the area, or within a reasonable drive. A week may leave you wishing you had more time, imo.x2...We'd go up there every year if there weren't so many other places in this great country to see!

RE: XL cot feet tent floor protection?

When we were still tent campers, we had small 3" x 3" carpet squares...when in use, the pile of the carpet squares were against the tent floor.

RE: Dump station comedy jig

For clarification, I wasn't trying to fault anyone for wearing gloves, I just found it grossly hilarious that he wiped his mouth off with the gloves on AFTER doing the 'business!'

Dump station comedy jig

I never look forward to the line at the dump station after a long holiday weekend, but the comedy of watching people dance around and what not makes it bearable. While in line today, we watched a guy get his special poo gloves on before he got the hose out...he then proceeded with the business complete with a special little geyser near the end and put the stuff away and then proceeded to wipe his mouth with the gloves still on.:h

RE: Dumping RV tanks to tote and then to septic tank?

I believe that there are some 'poop chewers' on the market that will handle an incline when pumping. I recently bought a 'poop chewer' and it cost just slightly more than the Barker Blue Tote that I have.

RE: DeWalt 18VDC Drill/Driver sufficient for Stabilizing Jacks?

I use a Makita 18v Lithium Ion, and it works great, and also use the same battery with their small but powerful LXT blower to blow off the top of the slide before bringing in, and blow off the asphalt in front of the trailer when we arrive at the campsite. Word to the wise about DeWalt -- fine drill guns, but I have owned both DeWalt and Makita over several decades -- the Makita batteries have lasted years and years and years with many different Makita drill guns. The DeWalt batteries did not last long at all -- I would usually get about a year out of them, then had to replace them. So DeWalt drills cost me more in the long run than Makita, due to battery replacement expenses.x2 on the entire thing.

RE: Too many people to tow?

The way I read this post, is that the OP is trying to give a heads up to people and be of help. I don't see a complaint in his post whatsoever, but three people flame the OP in their replies. Have another cup of coffee people.

RE: Two level bilateral epidural steroid injection low back

In August of 2009, I hit an unmarked 8" construction core-out at 60 mph at 3:00 AM. My pickup had to be airborne...I pulled over 1/2 mile down the road to clean out my pants and knew I'd done something bad as soon as both feet hit the ground. I was diagnosed with a herniated L5 in October of 2009. I had injections done 2x. The 1st time, I had relief from my symptoms for (4) days. On the 2nd one, the doc hit a nerve and it felt like somebody had my private parts held over a campfire. I was so scared, I didn't want to try again, and decided it was either going to fix itself or I would go through surgery. At the peak of my pain, I was using 6-8 vicodin a day along with 600 mg of ibuprofen 6x daily. In April of 2010, I began to notice less and less pain and towards the end of May was the last I took anything substantial for my pain. To this day, I can still tell when I'm overdoing it and take a few ibuprofen and all is good. I consider myself extremely lucky as I know this could all change in an instant again. For what it's worth, I feel your pain. Hang in there and stay positive.

RE: Any experience with Fulton Bulldog Tongue Jack?

I've owned one for 2 years and not had an issue. It doesn't even miss a beat when lifting the rear of my truck to aid in hooking up the spring bars either. I would recommend one, specifically because I know the price is right and I've not had an issue. My disclaimer, though, is that I've not had anything different to know if it's the best or if there is something better. Hope this helps your decision!

RE: This means war (on mice)..

We just had our first issue with mice in our trailer. Get the circular no touch traps (I can gut a deer, clean fish, whatever, but mice...no way!). These traps come in a two pack at Wal-Mart. There is a bait slot on the bottom so the mice HAVE to enter the trap entrance to get to the bait. We caught the first and only mouse within hours of setting the traps. What's nice is you don't even have to look at the mice...just pick up the trap and in the garbage. Definitely worth checking out.

RE: Truck camper off bridge, two injured

I really don't care if they called it a green roller skate because it makes no difference, I'm glad they made it without getting killed.x2

Mice

Well, I guess I'll start from the beginning! I've had my trailer stored at a buddy's for the last month or so while I've been working on replacing and widening our driveway. Even went so far as to pour a pad for the trailer, too. Friday afternoon, I brought the trailer home to fill the FW tank and load some stuff for a close weekend jaunt. Opened the rear storage to get FW hose and found a mouse nest. I know they weren't in the trailer approximately 10-12 days ago as I was in it to retrieve some Comet to make sure I didn't get ants. Didn't camp this weekend but sure spent alot of time in there! Nothing is damaged other than my pride...well, they did chew up all of my precious a$$wipe! We've cleaned everything and spread traps and dryer sheets, but I need some advice...it's obvious to me that the critters got in through a few small gaps in the underbody enclosure and then traverse the trailer through the electric and plumbing penetrations. I not only want to seal the small gaps in the enclosure, but was thinking of dropping it to easily access all of the small penetrations and fill them with Great Stuff before putting it back in place. Am I nuts or not?! Basically, that would give me two lines of defense for starters and then I can attempt to be smarter moving forward! Doug

RE: Bread in the Black tank??

Hmm... I heard of pitching a loaf... but I never heard of just pitching two slices :h :B Hey, I thought it was 'pinching' a loaf! But the real question here is: Should you do this while parked at Walmart? Or more to the point: Did this dealer keep a straight face when he suggested this?? Oops... I have always thought it was pitching! Maybe in Canada you 'pitch' a loaf. Here in the US, we 'pinch' them. :B I think. :h:B

RE: 2012 KEYSTONE PASSPORT

LOL!! I ended up replacing that light with one that has a switch independent of the porch light switch. It's still on the same circuit, but I can shut it off right at the lamp.
