RE: Replacing shore power cable for plug.
The problem I have with the set up you show in the picture, is that it will have a "Hot" plug inside that cover. If you were to reach in, you'd get electrocuted.:(
It would make more sense to have an outlet type connection, and just make your shore cable a double male (one at each end). It would be much safer.
Keep in mind, YOU may know it's "live", but some child could go exploring, and get killed. At least try and make it "code".

What he showed will not be hot. The Camper side plug is a male and the cord will be a female or the hot. The plug on the camper is only energized when the female cord makes contact. I did the park power conversion to my rig after a bad receptacle melted my plug. I now have a park power cord and the old cord I converted with the parts that came with the conversion kit. Personally I like this system better. No "exploring child" will be killed by what he showed or is proposing to do.

If you mean by "blurping" it comes on every 10 sec, it sounds as though you have a leak. Start looking at all your fresh water plumbing. The one way valve on the city connection could be leaking as well. A seal leak for the impeller would do this as well. Make sure the water heater/anode is not leaking. Every 10 sec could be a significant leak.

Mine is wired to the battery disconnect. When the disconnect is engaged the jack will not function.

There is probably a automatic reset circuit breaker somewhere in the circuit - that would account for the slide motor stopping, but then restarting after things cool down. Have you ever lubricated the slide mechanism?
Depending on which brand of slide mechanism you have, there are places that need periodic lubrication - usually oil on internal bearings and gears, and dry silicon spray on exterior tracks, racks, seals, or pinions. If everything is not lubed up and moving freely, the motors could overload. Check your owners' manual .....
I thought the same thing but since they are both doing it I doubt it is a relay or breaker resetting. Also if it is doing it after only two seconds that is not long enough for a reset unless it was really binding and you would hear that in the slide operation. Even though the battery is new I would load test it. Would not be the first new battery with a bad cell. A drop in voltage from a bad battery will cause exactly what you are experiencing.
I also doubt since both are doing it that something is binding from lack of lubrication since both slides are involved.

Hi downtheroad, we actually replaced the batteries and that didnt make a difference.
DavidP, so you are thinking it could be the fuses? So I would find them along the line between the slide motor and the batteries? Is there anywhere to find wiring schematics for these?
Before the fuses. Check the 12 volt connection that feeds those fuses. Also check all grounds.

Seems to me the problem lies at the power being provided to the 12 volt circuits in your convertor. Since they are both on separate most likely 30 amp fuses my guess it is somewhere down stream of each fusible circuit. I would check the connection to that block and all grounding points. If only one slide was malfunctioning you could surmise it is in that run, but since both do it most likely is in the wiring before each circuit.

Probably will run fine next time. I would light the stove top and let it run a couple min before turning on the furnace. No pilot, it is DSI. This could also be a block in the vent. Do you have a screen over the vent? If not, I would install one to keep insects from nesting inside.

I think most RV owners are handy or at least more handy than not.
Your right, the question you pose is very subjective. Average upkeep on the chassis will be no different than any vehicle so you should be able to factor that based on owning past vehicles. The big question is current condition.

We have an iPhone 4G with AT&T that seems to work everywhere we have been.
x2...have a windows HTC 8x smartphone on the AT&T LTE NW. We too use it as a wireless router "hotspot". Plenty of bandwidth for LT and ipad/ipod.

Most slides will pull the bottom in last when retracting and push them out first when extending. That sounds normal to me. Not sure what you are referring to on the carriage bolts.

RE: Replacing tires this weekend- one question
I don't take my TT to the tire shop...I put the TT in my driveway, then jack the frame ahead of the front axle, install jackstand on the frame, then jack the frame behind the rear tire and install another jackstand on the frame, then take off both tires on that side, put them in the truck and drive them to the tire store. Then I bring those two home and repeat the process for the other two. Making 2 trips to the tire store is easier than trying to maneuver a 32' TT in their lot, plus I don't have to worry about where/how they jack it up and what torque they put the lugs on with.
Believe me the tire shop doesn't want to deal with your TT clogging up their lot and them having to drag floor jacks outside. Many will take a few $ off the price for doing them that favor. Definitely get the new tires balanced.

I have a dry weight close to yours at 5700 and 575 hitch weight. Loaded weight of 6400 and about 900 on the tongue. I too think you will be better off with the heavier bars. I run 1k bars. Good luck.

Sounds like you have the tow package. Tow mirrors were an option in later years with tow package. Do you have the trans temp gauge? Since you have the tow mode switch and factory hitch you have the tow package. If the truck came from the factory with a class IV hitch it has the tow package. Also, I do not believe tow mode is available on a non tow package truck in any year. Your truck should also have an auxiliary trans cooler in series with the cooler in the radiator with the tow package.

I tow with an Armada which is basically the same truck except rear suspension and axle. Your question is very subjective but the Titan is a good tow vehicle when properly equipped and you stay within its limits. I tow a trailer 6700 Lbs loaded and about 850-900 on the tongue and 30 ft long. It tows very well and these trucks are real workhorses. Gobs of torque and plenty of power. The 5.6 V8 Nissan uses is IMO one of the best V8’s ever designed. I stick to the 80/20 rule and if I went bigger I would be getting into a ¾ ton truck . If you have the tow package you will be good up to 7k but IMO I would not go heavier/larger. I run a Reese WDH with dual cam. Mine is the round bar set up with 1k bars. Once dialed in IMO a great hitch. Good Luck.
