RE: The shortest Travel Trailer w/ Most amount of sleeping room

My fun finder 16 foot will sleep 5 in 4 beds. The master is the table which is queen size. The drop down above it then on the road side is a bench bed and over that is a drop down bed. But with 5 folks in a 13 foot box, I hope no one has gas.......We have this rig and its perfect for me and the wife. We spent 16 days in it last year and had a ball, I am n ot sure I would want this with three kids in it. You can buy a 4 or 5 year old one for under 5K. You start going much under that and you are going to have lots of upkeep to keep it running. My 2Cents wort.

RE: How long do your batteries last?

My fun finder 16 with 2 12volts, I can go almost three nights. This was in 45 degree weather and raining with us inside most of the time. Yep it was a bad weekend of camping. The third morning I had to hook up the truck and run the heater off of it while we were getting ready to leave. I have went many three days without the heater and had plent of power left. But this is 16 feet with just two of us.And we are still newly weds.:)

RE: What do you consider......

My box is 13 feet 16 over all, Funfinder. Its just right not to big to pull and big enough for the two of us to sleep and do all the other stuff in. My tandem Kayak is 22 feet long, in really big water, its a tiny little thing.Size is in the eye of the beholder. Don't worry about what other people think.

RE: Fun Finder 189 FBS mods

We have stayed in our fun finder 16 in +5, in southern Colorado. The poop was frozen when we went to dump but everything else was OK. All the plumbing is inside the trailer and it was a toosty 70 inside. We use a small electric heater and let it run all the time when we have hook ups. It will keep us warm. Unless you have a holding tank heater your going to have problems with that. The floor does get coooooold but we put down a couple of rugs to keep or feet warm. And nope they do not offer a cold weather package.

RE: Window Tint?

applied tint to my south facing windows on my house and it did a world of difference. Should work the same for your trailer. HD is where I got it. Just make sure you buy the install kit and use plenty of spray on it.

RE: 1/2 ton Van Modification

You will not have fun if you do this. they put a tow limit on a truck for a reason. SAFETY please buy a smaller trailer or a bigger truck.. You will be a lot happier

RE: How long is too long?

My Fun Finder 16 foot is jsut the right size. Never have a problem with gas stations or any camp grounds. Got a bathroom, and all the other stuff that goes with it. Get what you want and you will make it work. I have seen some stupid big rigs and a few that makes my 16 foot look big. Get what you want and then go out and CAMP, My friend that is what its all about. But my ocean going Kayak is 5 feet longer then my camper and I think its kind of short.

RE: Official Honeywell Generator thread..talk about em here!

I work for Honeywell tracking satellites, I went to our company web site and can get the 2000 for $436 delivered and no tax. Can't find it anywhere here in colorado for less then $600 so thinking real hard about buying it. We only have a 16 foot camper and it would be nice somtimes to have the AC or mircowave but not at the same time. Shuold I or not?????

RE: how long does it take you?

OK I wrote about this last year and got chewed out by all you guys and girls. My DW is an engineer and we can do it in 5 minutes. That is after we get it backed in the slot, which might take me 10 minutes. This is just for power no other hook ups.But get it in she gets out and we level sis to side, drop the trailer and level with the toung jack. Drop down a 1/2 bubble and put the back jacks down. Then jack back up where the back is nice and tight and then put the front jacks down. Plug in and drop the awning and bingo we are ready. We only have a 16 foot trailer so its not real hard to do any of this.

RE: Fun Finder X-160FS

We have a 2003 16foot funfinder, what a great trailer. Wouldn't change a thing with it. We have made a fun changes but othere then that its great. Just remember your box is 13 feet long. And there is only so much you can put in a 13 foot box. We spent 2 weeks in it last Oct and would do it again. Leave the table made into a bed and use a TV tray for your dinner. there is only two of us in it. Our kayak is 6 feet longer then our 13 foot bx.

RE: Fun Finder 139? Any comments on it?

we have a sway control on our 16 foot funfinder and a prodigy brake controler, pulled it 2200 miles last year on one trip and never knew it was back there except at the gas station. We pull with a 96 full size Chev getting about 13 with the trailer and 15 without. :(

RE: Tint the windows?

I tinted house windows on the south side of the house and it reallyt blocks the heat. Here in Colorado Springs with no AC in the huose you can tell the difference. Bought the kit at home depot and installed it my self, follow the instruction and its easy and clear once its one. Just have not had time to do the fun finder.

RE: Fun Finder 139? Any comments on it?

We have the fun finder 16, two of us no dogs and that is about as small as I qould go. Two dogs on the floor and you want be able to walk or get out of bed. The trailer is wonderful. I just love the 3 way refrigator, we have a mirowave over the counter and that is great when we have power. The bathroom is tight but it does have indoor plumbing and that is wonderful, We have had our for two years, (used 2003) and would buy another one.
