No, I went to Lowrance and ordered it. It ended up costing me around $10 with the shipping. It going to cost them a lot more than that. Like I said I will not buy any thing with Lowrance again !!! Next year I am going to get a new GPS and it will be another brand, probably a Garmin. I have a Garmin on my boat and it more user friendly than the Lowrance I had on my old boat.

I will never buy anything from Lowrance again !!!!
I have a Iway 250 from Lowrance. I broke the mount for the GPS and called Lowrance for replacement. The cost was $15.45 for the part with shipping. They sent the wrong part not even close to fitting on any GPS . I called customer service back and got a RA # for a return to which I had to pay shipping. (almost $4.00) It took over a month to get it credit on my credit card and all I got was $6.45 due to a restocking fee. I called them and complained with no avail. I am furious at them.

I like my truck and it would be a lot more money than getting a new fiver. We really don't need a car now and I don't want a dually for my everyday driver as the truck now is. I don't know about where you live but there is no duallys on the car lots around here.

If this couple does not buy my fiver. I am going to keep it until spring. There is not much that we like out there. I got a deposit at a campground in Jan. and it is too late to order a new one. The Jayco dealer told me it will take 8-10 weeks to get one.

Well the truck option is out. I like the truck and it did serve my needs. The DW is going to want a car soon. I just got so much money to spent!!lol The Heartland is out also. My next truck will be a one ton as when the wife gets a new car I am going to take her car. The new truck going to have to wait a couple of years. I need the government to give RVers a stimulus.

The Arctic Fox 33-5v that we now have is suppose to weight 10,500 but just after we got it I took it and weighted it and it was 11500 with very little on it. Last summer I went to a rally where it was weighted again this time loaded, it weighted 12,920 with a pin weight of 2800. The Arctic Fox or Northwood shows 1800. It looks like I can get a fiver with around 14,000 gross weight. Now what do I get? I want a good quality RV that will be towed across county and be used for extended periods of time.

Towing a BIG HORN 3670RL
I have a 2500 Chevy Duramax CC 4X4 and we are looking at a Big Horn 3670 RL with a pin weight of 2,065 and a GVWR of 16000 dry weight of 12,160. I have been to two dealers and they both claim that I can tow it safely. The pin weight is about the same as out Arctic Fox 33-5V we now have. The loaded weight of the Fox is 12,800. We have pulled this five through 25 states with no problem. The fiver has over 40,000 miles of towing. The only change in my truck is a pair or Timberlins and one size larger tires. I do plan when I get a new truck to go up to a one ton dually. We are planning a cross country trip next July with this rig.

Take time and go and see one made at each place. This will let you make up your mind. I have the living room up front I like it there for it set up so you can see. DO not get a rear dinning room.
WIfe and I both had to laugh and say "yeah right" over this one!! We don't have a manufacturer of any in our state,so too far to go to do this,its not like they would all be in one area or state.We did go to the plant in Winchester,Va to see how the Artic Fox was made. It would be a good idea but not something we can do,thats why we are asking questions on here. I only remember seeing one that the living room was up front,most are in the rear and no we would definitely not consider anything with a rear kitchen. Thanks for you input.

I also got another problem it is how much difference to pay on a trade ? The NADA book list my low retail at just under $18,000 and I am looking at fivers in the $60-$70 k range. A Jayco dealer wanted $32,000 on a $60,000 Designer they had reduced it to $44,000, as it was a 09. The wife did not like the kitchen on this one, so that was it no mater how good the deal. Car & truck trading much easier and it is also easier finding what we want.

Excel wasn't on your list, but ours has been acceptably trouble-free. The warranty was two years; we've lived in it 3.5 years now. Fridge, furnace, a/c, water heater - failures. We did have a minor issue with some hose instead of pex being used on the kitchen faucet with pex fittings; they leaked. Mom wanted a new faucet anyway, so in it went with pex, this time.
Excel makes their own frames, and they also have no history of frame failure. Like the NuWa, they are wood. Some think that is a backwards building material, but we can make phone calls from inside while in many areas, the aluminum sidewall guys are outside standing on their picnic tables!

I did not memtion Excel because they are heavy and I have a Chevy 2500 Duramax I got a dealer telling my I can tow a 38 ft Big Horn and it looks like it will be 1000 lbs over load on my truck. The pin weight is not much more than what I am now towing.

The one we have was made in Winchester,Va,that plant has closed and no nearby dealers. They no longer make the size we now have either and wouldn't consider going smaller than what we have.

which would you get?
If you were buying a new fifth wheel and the choices were NUWA, Jayco, Carriage and Heartland. Which would you buy. The prices are very close at what we looking at.

I don't care what Chrysler does. I will not buy anything again from them. Our last was a 1990 Le-baron with many problems and a smart mouth service manager. It was almost two years old when the transmission went out. When I got it back I traded it in two weeks.

We have over 40K miles on our Arctic Fox with the Lippert Frame. I never had any problems with the frame but the Arctic Fox is another story. I am starting to get small cracks in the jelcoat, but it has had some bad roads in the six years we had it. Most of my problems were quality control at the factory when built. It has been back to factory three times. Northwood is great at repair and service but I did not like the three hundred miles one way each time taking it back.
