RE: New TT, CO2 detector keeps going off?

My detector also beeps on low battery voltage. Are you plugged into shore power? I'd turn on the heat and keep pressing the `mute' button.

RE: Biking in Yellowstone in June

Take a look at the following website: http://www.nps.gov/yell/planyourvisit/bicycling.htm

RE: Zion, Bryce, Tetons, Yellowstone and Glacier

It's great that you have allotted enough time to really experience these locations. Too many times RVers try to see the West in a week and don't have time to get out of the car!

RE: Tire Compressor

Didn't quite understand the question but if you search this Forum for `air compressor' there have been previous posts on the subject. To reduce the number of posts search the results for `sears' for example.

RE: How do I maximize MPG? from miles per hour

There are some other tricks like taking off Cruise Control when going up a steep hill other wise the CC will try to maintain the 55 mph and pour the fuel into the engine to try to do that. Don't try to be the first one off the starting blocks at traffic lights. Coast into stop lights, like the truckers do, so you don't have to come to a complete stop. There must be others...

RE: What are most common greenhorn mistakes?

Before we leave a site my wife goes around the back of the RV to check the brake and turn signals BECAUSE I can't tell you how many times I have forgotten to connect the power cable from the RV to the tow vehicle. There just seems to be lots of things to do UPFRONT what with connecting the RV, collecting all of the wood blocks, etc that I occasionally forget; after 9 seasons! Could be Mad Cow...

RE: Suburban electric Heater won't work

Can you get to the heater element to check for voltage to the element on both sides? The heater element might be burned out. Any chance the heater was turned on with no water in the tank?

RE: Looking for a TT

Just my $.03 but a large shower is just wasted space. One spends 30 minutes max per day in the shower and much more time in the kitchen and living areas.

RE: Tire/wheel upgrade?

I upgraded to 16" and put on Michelin XPS Ribs. Good move.

RE: Cold vs. hot tire pressure

When you didn't have the dashboard readout did the tires run cooler?

RE: No 12 volt power in travel trailer

Our 12V breaker was located under the RV on the driver side so one had to lay on his back to even find it. When it went bad we changed it to one that resets itself automatically. I didn't even know it was there even after several years of ownership.

RE: Performance Chips for GMC

I Googled `gmc performance chips' and found lots of information like: http://www.autoanything.com/performance-chips/GMC/110A50207A0A0A116A0A1.aspx I guess I'm not very smart autowise but what does `performance' really mean? If it means getting more than 10.7 mpg city or 9+ towing on my tow vehicle I'd sure look into it. But I don't want to lay rubber at a stop light anymore!

RE: Kitchen faucet

Yes but the connections to the water lines may require some adapters. For more information search this Forum for `kitchen faucet' and read on.

RE: Pros and Cons of 1099 versus withholding

If the 1099 is a 1099 Misc typically nothing is withheld and the taxpayer has to pay self employment tax when the return is filed to make up for the lack of withholding. There would also be a state tax obligation if the state has an income tax.

RE: Lynx levelers harm tires??

You could search this Forum to see what has already been posted. I would be more concerned with the entire footprint of the tire NOT being supported. I use wide boards; easier to pull onto and they support the entire tire.

RE: What is the right way?

Actually the question `where do I park my MH is a good one also'. I have seen folks park where they have had to snake out 30 feet of sewer hose to get to the sewer when moving up or back on the site would get them much closer and allow them to maintain the proper `slope' of the hose. I'd rather get closer to the sewer and add an extension to the power cable if required.

RE: Roof Cleaning

Did you search this Forum? It's been discussed before. Try Soft Scrub with bleach and a brush on a stick.

RE: Well the shake down trip is under the belt.

Rubber boat and grill? Looks like a lot of `stuff' for a weekend trip.
