RE: Disney World Rv Parks

I don't know how close you want to get but if 10-12 miles is not too far then check out Lake Louisa State Park in Clermont, Fl. Nice place, sites are pretty much open. Some small trees and very quiet. Great area for Golf and not too far to Disney.

RE: Replacing Rubber Gasket on Slideouts- DIY??

I have replaced a couple on my Mh. After you take off the old seal make sure you clean off the old surface real good then wipe it down with alcohol so it is clean and dry. I used contact cement and follow the directions on the can. They have held up good over a year and no leaks that I know of. Good luck.

Kwikee Elect Step Help

While traveling Alaska 3 yrs ago my elect step died and took it in and shop replaced the motor and brain. Worked fine until last Sep. Every time I stopped somewhere the step would not extend and it blew a 25 amp mini fuse. Had it checked out on the road and the service tech got it working again but said he did not do anything but wiggle wired. Started again and had to keep replacing the fuse until about 6 months ago and have not had a problem until this weekend. Mh parked at the house for a month with the step extended. Cranked up the engine and closed the door and the step did not retract. Replaced the blown fuse and it retracted. First time it happened while sitting still. Got the to campground and again it blew. This time when I replaced the fuse it blew instantly every time. Wiggled wires at the fuse block and at the motor with no sucess. Disconnected all power to the coach, put a new fuse in and when I turned the power back on it went again. Put a meter on the fuse block and read 29 volts which sounds like 2 power wires conected. Tomorrow I will disconnect all power and take the fuse block off and check behind it to ensure no bare wires exposed. Anyone ever had this problem or any suggestions before I have to take it in to the shop? Any help is appreciated. Thanks for any assistance.

Good Sam Propane

I remember reading something about Camping World offering Propane to Good Sam members for $1.99 a gal on Wednesdays. Was this for a specific timeframe or did I read it wrong. I cannot remember where I saw it whether it was in the Magazine or the Cyber Newsletter. Thanks.

RE: Buying a leftover Motorhome?

I bought a 2006 in 2008. Got a great deal and have not had any major problems with it, thank God. Had it for 3 yrs now and have put 36,000 miles on it. Just make sure they start your new warranty from the date of purchase and an extended warranty might help. Agree with the batteries and also check the date code on the tires. Although it might be 2yrs old by title, the tires could be 3yrs old. I took mine on a 6 month trip right away then came home with a list of 24 items to be fixed under warranty. Dealer took care of them with no problem. I am still pretty happy with it. Good luck.

Day/Night Shades

I am looking for the site for day/night shades that they are using in the newer rv's. I had it on my favorite list but lost it. You could go to this site and price the shades by size. The are like a double roller shade. I have been trying Google but cannot seem to find the name of the country. I think they were out of Texass and you could either take your Rv to them for the install or do it yourself. Any help it appreciated. Thanks

Rt 8 in Wisc

Heading to Mpls from Eagle River next month and thinking of taking Rt 8 across Wisc to 35 in just North of Mpls. It looks like a good road. Any cons to that road? Thanks for your help.
