RE: Top Things I have Learned in 6 Years of Camping

LOL my butt off, forgot about empty park and and someone pulling in right next door. One more, talk to your neighbors but leave them alone. I camp to get away and at Roaring River this week I spent one day escaping from a crazy neighbor. Go outside and he would come over. It was bad.

Top Things I have Learned in 6 Years of Camping

Please add your own: Never travel with a friend-spent six hours in the desert on Fathers day(Sunday) cause he did not pack his bearings and I asked him if he did. Never travel on a Sunday Never take the bad bearing to Campers World, a 2 hour drive, take the good tire off and take a good bearing to CW to match. Never travel with friends, sorry but I said it again. Never buy expensive toilet chemicals, a bag of ice and Pine sol work great. Wives always pack 1000 lbs of junk that you will never use. Always put the awning up at night so you dont have to do it at 130 in the morning in the storm while your wife watches from inside. Your wife is always right while camping. There is always a walmart in every town. Never drive to much. Stop and camp and enjoy the world. To much on a trip ruines the vacation. Plan on spending on day in a chair watching the bark grow on a tree. Never camp when its 100 degrees or hotter. Life is short, watching your kids and wife in a campground is pricelss.

RE: Still over 100 degrees at 8:00 PM in Atlanta, GA

Got our first dusting of snow in Oklahoma, supposed to hit 28 today...a man can dream cant he. I gave up camping during the summer unless I was in Colorado. July 4th two years ago and i was wearing a winter coat at night, Durango. 100 in oklahoma then during the day.

RE: Best No-Kink Hose?

I bought a brand that was reinforced to NEVER kink and it does. Wal-Mart. Cheap one almost blew up at Disney World. Swore to buy a really good one and still got taken.

RE: bought an "as Is no warranty" camper with water damage

I would never say this and i am going to get flamed...what if you accidentally backed your camper into a wall. Would insurance cover the repair.

Powerhouse PH3100Ri Gensets

I see where camping world has the above generator listed. I bought a champion last year for 299.00 at 4000 watt and it runs my Ac, bu this is not a quiet as a Honda. They say this will run a 13,500 BTU AC unit. At 1200 dollars i am hoping that Honda will be forced to come down on their price so i can buy one. Is this another cheap chinese knock off? Love my Champion for what i paid. Love to buy a honda but cant afford three grand.

RE: 2011 Chev Dually Tire Pressure

Funny thing is my 3/4 ton said 65 in the front and 80 in the rear and I thought we were going to crash. 9500 lb camper. front had so much sway I thought I had a flat. Stopped and checked all the tires and then put 80 in the front it drove great. 65 in the front with the weight of the camper caused the tires to roll sideways and flex way to much. 80 all around was perfect.
