RE: De-Winterize?

I am probably going to put my battery in,plug the camper in and put the slides out, I won't put any water in it until I need to, usually before our first camping trip. That way we can sit in it and think about camping finally again.

RE: Carpet Replacement

I changed the carpet in a 36ft Motorhome, I took the couch out, stripped all the old carpet out, bought the carpet and then hired a carpet installer on the side to install it, he charged me $200 and it looked great. I left the carpet in the cupboards and under the bed but he did all around the bed.

RE: 2 fluorescent lights in LR not working

The fuses are sometimes hard to see if they are blown, try changing them around,or test them for continuity by turning your meter to ohms, is there any other 12V things not working? You may have to keep tracing the wire that goes to the lights back to where you have power. Which I know is hard, maybe you can tie the wire into a 12V wire (source) behind the microwave.

RE: 5th Wheel vs Class C

I think if you are a snowbird and stay for long periods of time the bigger the better, we have had them all Class A, Class C and a 5th wheel, they all have their props, if I was staying south for a period of time I would prefer a 5th wheel or a Class A, the more room the better for me. You can pickup a used 5th wheel for a good price these days with 3 or 4 slides.

RE: 2 fluorescent lights in LR not working

I would take the fixtures down and check the wiring and make sure the joints are good, pull on the wires out of the connectors to see if one is loose or broken.

RE: Installing a 12 V CO detector

Guess I should have asked if the light had a remote switch, if the only switch is on the light then it would work.

RE: Installing a 12 V CO detector

I don't see anything wrong with that, try to get it as far as you can away from the light, take the light down and see how far you could fish a clothes hanger and put it there.

RE: Another Question for the Re-Rv'er!

I think it depends how handy you are, I don't take it because I fix almost everything my self, on a 5th wheel there is less to go wrong than a motorhome.

RE: vent fan covers

I have had to trim some of mine to fit but never had one I could not make fit.

RE: Winterization question

I would put a lot of anti freeze in both tanks right away just in case.

RE: Awning

When it is 100 plus outside and you have parked where the awning side is facing west it makes a huge difference in cooling the RV. x2 and if you are parked the right way it makes good shade. And its so pretty when its down lol

RE: Roof maintenance

Me to, just wash with dishwashing soap and water spring and fall with a soft brush.

RE: Water Heater Help!

Most have a switch for propane and a switch for electric for the HWT we try to use the electric only to save propane but you need a 30 amp outlet and we don't use it when the AC is on or the microwave etc so as not to trip the breaker. Your HWT is probably water logged and needs to be drained and refilled so as to make an air pocket at the top.

RE: Peeling Stickers

A heat gun will help on low setting and then if there is any glue or residue Goo Be Gone works on it.

I have a 6.5 box crew cab F250, really like it, no slider and have no problems turning/back window.

RE: Upgrading Front TV

I really like my 55in Samsung Smart TV LED the best, between the house and RV we have 6 LED or LCD TV's and the Samsung is really bright and clear.
