RE: New Tires

We just replaced our Goodyear tires with Michelins. After 5 blowouts in 2 years, including a blowout on one of the new tires, we decided to use the FMCA program. We saved about $100/tire. I have never had 1 blowout and you have 5? You have an issue somewhere and it's not the brand.

RE: Convection Ovens

That's all they are is household. They don't make it special for an RV.

RE: Reefer problems.

Go to a qualified service and let them look. All these suggestions are purely guessing and you'll be here all week trying to figure it out.

RE: Looking for new insurance

Ask yourself this question.......if its cheap will the service when you need them be the same way. Cheap rates are great until you have to use it.

RE: Tire Replacement

I have the same coach but a 2005. It is a great RV. You do need to change the tires. RV tires do not get enough use so the oils in the tires do not get distributed in the rubber and all the setting causes a lot of stress on them. I know it's hard to throw away all that trad but it the nature of the beast unless you are using it all the time. Yes you do need to check the alignment anytime you get tires but the chassis is usually done before they build on it and add the weight so yes it usually needs it when you first get it. I am about to get my 3rd set of tires this March. I use the Goodyears and have had great service with no problems. Take on here what you read with a grain of salt. Do you homework and fix your RV from a experienced source not recommendations from a lot of people you don't know whom are guessing most of the time. This is a great place to get ideas but it is a fraction of all the RV people on the road today.

RE: Flood! What now?

Never go off for any length of time and leave the water on. It's one turn of a handle at the pipe.

RE: Tire pressure readings using a TPMS

Lots of options, heat, sun, cold, weight and more. There is no set number.

RE: Tire Replacement on Class A Goodyear or Michelin

I'm buying 6 new Michelins for my RV in May, and I'm going to use the FMCA Michelin Advantage plan. Did you know that the Space Shuttles (all of them) used Michelin Tires when they were in service! Good Luck with your new tires. I guess that's great. How may shuttles are running the road? What do they have on them, like a mile when the land?

RE: Need Help Towing 2013 Ford Focus

I added a cut off switch which makes it way more easy than having to disconnect the cable. Just reach under the hood and turn it off.

RE: Rear AC won’t turn on after I change selector to rear AC

Check the 110vac circuit breakers. There should be one for each air conditioner. If they are good to go check voltage from each switch position. If the breaker was tripped it would not work at all.

RE: Tire question from a Newbee

Get a TPMS so you know a tire has blown or is failing. Otherwise you may not know , especially in the rear, and the flapping of a shreading tire may do serious collateral damage. With a TPMS and carefull inspections you may be able to go another year. I have a TPMS and they are great for monitoring pressure but it will not help you in a sudden blow out, I think you will know that without anyone or anything telling you.
