RE: When to De-Winterize?

If you did de-winterize, would a space heater be sufficient enough to avoid re-winterizing?

RE: Small TT with full size bed AND bath tub?

If you post your numbers I'm sure somebody will have some ideas for you. I don't know how they do it, but as a group these guys are pretty much unstoppable. If I was on a game show I'd want them for my call a friend. Good Luck.

RE: What brand of trailer does not have bunk beds

Hopefully this will help narrow your search. When your looking at the model # of most TT it will have various #'s followed by a couple letters. For the most part most models that have bunks are listed as BH models for bunkhouse. RK for rear kitchen FL for front living (I think) S for models with slides etc. Just keep an eye out for the letters BH or similar and avoid those models. Good Luck.

RE: Help choosing 25' TT for my family of 5!

If length is truly a factor, although towing 25' or 30' is really not that different. Then I would also recommend looking at the KZ's. My trailer (the spree 240BHS) sounds like a perfect fit for what you asked. They also have several other models and floorplans that may work. It's the perfect time of year to go hit some RV shows and look at several different makes and models. You'll probably know whats right as soon as you walk in it. Bring the family and have some fun with it, at least then you will know if you will all fit comfortably at once. Good Luck!

RE: Towing mirrors Query

I second the custom CIPA. Made to fit specific make and model. No vibration at all. Just make sure your mirrors are clear of all dirt and debris on the back or they will scratch the finish. Learned the hard way, now i put a paper towel or shop rag behind to protect the paint.

RE: Opinions on KZ trailers

No complaints here. Love our trailer and it is backed by a great 2 yr warranty.

RE: Bunkhouse Question

You're always going to get biased opinions to this kind of question. What's best for you is not always best for others. Try going to some RV shows to see a lot of different floor models at once. You can also judge the quality of the builds and rule out certain manufacturers. As far as the shortest question, Mine is classed as a 24' that runs around 28' nose to tail, 3 bunks in the rear, Queen size U-shape dinette on a slide and a walk-around queen bed in the front. Spree 240bhs, they also have lots of other "BH" floorplans. Good Luck

RE: Nascar races

We do Bristol in March, and Michigan in August every year. There is a group of 6 to 10 that do these trips so expenses get split and stays affordable. Really for what it is we splurge anyway, 4 or 5 days with a bunch of great food, cold drinks, and best friends is well worth a couple bucks out of my pocket. Hoping to get to Martinsville or Richmond in 2010.

RE: 2007 2wd f150 towing

The weight shouldn't be a problem. You may want to upgrade the rotors if they are factory, I have the same truck, had them turned and then replaced in one season. Also with the FX2 package is the 20" rims, that would reduce your tow capacity by 500. Still well within your range just thought you should know. My truck only has the 4.6 and we get by, hoping to upgrade to a 5.4 when the lease is up.

RE: Slideout Bunkhouse Options

There are a couple of KZ Spree models that fit or come close to what you are looking for. Also in regards to the F-150 there is a big difference in how much you can tow depending on what options are on your truck. e.g. size of motor,4.6 or 5.4, rear end gears, year etc. Good Luck on your search.

RE: Know of a smaller TT with a real Queen size bed?

He's probably talking about either a hybrid or a rear slide model. Some of the rear slide models actuallty advertise a king size bed but they are not walk around.

RE: Know of a smaller TT with a real Queen size bed?

If you are willing to sacrifice a little length in the mattress KZ has a 24' model (240bhs) 60 x 75 bed with 3 sides open and comes with an optional flip up sofa at the end of the bed. The dinette is also huge and easily seats 6 adults.

RE: Does such a TT exist?

I just went to the KZ site to check my length and it is 28'3". They do have something that may interest you, take a look at the 245ks model. Its under the length and also has a slide. Good Luck.

RE: Does such a TT exist?

Most 24 foot bunk house will come in over 27 ft. I have the KZ 240 bh someone mentioned earlier and I believe the total length is around 28 ft with the tongue.

RE: KZ owner needs help!

Make sure your propane is on, then try to light the stove to ensure that the LP is getting from the tanks to the trailer. You may have to try the red light switch more than once to make sure the pilot lights. You could also use a bbq lighter and light the pilot yourself.

the only thing you will need is the adapter to go from the rv plug to a standard plug. One simple answer took two pages to get to. Enjoy!!!!!

RE: Best floor plan in 24' class for family with three kids

We have the KZ240BHS and it works great for us with three young teens. Usually only camp for 4or 5 days at a time and the weather has been good so far. I think if we were trapped indoors for any period of time it could begin to feel cramped as the dinette is the only sitting area inside. You can get an optional sofa at the end of the bed, but we didn't like that idea. Then again we have also done 6 days with 5 adults and were still all friends when we left. It is a great trailer for us, they do have a larger similar model in the 324bhs if you have the TV to handle it. Good Luck and happy searching.

RE: Suburban Hot Water Heater Issue

I'm not sure if my unit has the same WH as yours but if it a very small cotter pin check the switch itself. We have a very small pin that slides into the switch when in the OFF position. As far as I know the only purpose it serves is to not allow the switch to fall to the ON position while travelling. Hope this helps.
