RE: Warrior founder to design new trailers...

We love our WW but, clothing and bottled water? I seriously hope that isn't their business plan. Having a Harley T-shirt, jacket, boots, etc. is great but, I don't think Weekend Warrior has quite the same following. Back to the trailers - I look forward to seeing their new product. It will be a bit before production picks up though - As said - you can get a nice newer trailer from a bank / repo yard for 25% of the price right now. Tough to pass up those deals.

RE: Weekend Warrior Rear Bunk - bunk sagging

Finished the job earlier. Turns out all that was broken was the styra-foam. It was under the smaller 18" (ish) section of 1/8" ply. I was able to pull back the ply and pull off the foam. Some of the foam was glued to the ply but, luckily quite a bit of it wasn't. That was the only way I was able to get it off without breaking the 1/8" ply. I added another support next to the existing one just to give it a bit more strenght. Finally, I put a piece of 1/4" melamine on the top of the whole bed to help disburse the weight over a wider area. Put the smaller 18" piece on the opposite side of where the other one was. Oh, we replaced the foam. Only foam I could find was 1/8" too thin so, had to buy some 1/8" hardboard to fill the gap. I didn't glue the foam in there. . . hopefully it won't be an issue. I would think with the extra 1/4" melamine on top I should be fine. My little girl uses the bed most of the time - sometimes a friend sleeps over. Sometimes if we are on a long-haul trip I'll sleep up there if we stop on the way to our destination. Nothing really to show in pictures. Definitely recommend taking measurements and having Home Depot make your cuts on their panel saw. They even cut the Styra-Foam. If I was in L.A. I would have got some of this http://www.allmetalssupply.com/5_bar.htm And re-buit it. Looks like you can special order for the width we need. If anyone makes trips from LA to N. CA and is willing to pick me up a sheet - let me know, I'll pay for it. Would like to put a sheet on the under side of the top bunk and trash the stock 1/8" ply. I was also thinking it would be cool to build a box in the center of the frame to hold the plastic table we bought. If I do that, I'll probably have to go with a steel frame and some thin metal on top to support the bed. But, the cool thing is I could box around the arm that holds the lower bunk/couch back. Currently it runs into the bed above.

RE: EGT Towing temps

Check a diesel specific forum. I've got mine limited to 1350. If it hits it, it is only for a short time generally as I'm coming over a hill. My Edge with Attitude allows me to limit the EGT. It will de-fuel as the temperature approaches 1350.

RE: WW LE3305 Fifth Wheel - Hauling Polaris Ranger??????

I can fit three quads and the RZR-S in with ease. I was a bit surprised at how high the RZR was and how low the rear bunk was. Not a lot of extra room there but, it does fit.

RE: Weekend Warrior Rear Bunk - bunk sagging

That's a good call. I can't find that Alum. Diamond Plate that we have on our trailers anywhere. I can find standard diamond plate but, not that kind we all have. I would rather have the alum diamond plate than paint that could come-off and stain the lower bunk or something.

RE: Weekend Warrior Rear Bunk - bunk sagging

I'm finally about ready to start this project. Anyone have any updates?

RE: Pulling with Pride

Sweet!!! I recommend the Amp Research steps. Had the chrome type but, feet slipped off quite a bit - wife wasn't comfortable with them. The Amp Steps are worth a few extra bucks.

RE: suspension looks messed up

As you turn they will change as well. Make sure the shackles are lubed. See the other active thread right now on Pre-Trip inspection.

RE: never believe what we found

I agree - chill-out people. Too many people watching TV. Seriously - Odds are 1,000,000 to 1 this is a stolen sled not some dead-dude that CSI needs to be called in on. Another 1,000,000 to 1 that if the guy was dead it was a case of him lost - NOT murder or something. If the dude was lost - I don't think any finger-prints on a sled are going to help. And for my last 1,000,000 to 1 - how many people ride a snowmobile without gloves so you can get finger-prints?

RE: The Value of a Pre-Trip Inspection

Looks like the difference is this one doesn't include all the parts? http://dexteraxle.com/inc/sdetail/28013 I thought mine were 31" on center? I'll have to measure this weekend. Did they come blue or did you paint them?

RE: Why have a timer on the fuel pump?

You know. . . thinking about this a relay connected to a micro-switch that triggered as soon as the door was opened to the fuel station would be cool. Hmmmm. . .

RE: Airbags

Plumb them individually for sure. There are a lot of people that do into common line and especially a lot of 4x4 shops to save money. But. . . go around a corner and the outside gets the weight so, air goes to the inside which increases body-roll. Just not the right way to do it.

RE: Bed room mattressress

Just saw an ad on TV that Sam's Club has a deal going on mattresses. May want to check it out.

RE: WEEKEND WARRIOR WATER TANK MOUNTINGS...WARNING!!!!!

A good call to get the creeper out every few months and climb around under the trailer. I've found brake lines loose myself. Seems I always use a can or two of spray paint cleaning it up. Check the shackles - lube things up a bit. Check the wires for any wear, etc.

RE: 2009 Moab UTV Rally

That was probably Jon from UTVGuide.net that shot that. Nice picture and great looking RZR-S. I gotta tell you guys, I've spent some time on Youtube looking at MOAB. This looks like a trip that will be in my future. Thanks for everyone that shared the pictures and video. Great shots.

RE: GFCI Location

If you are running your generator - check the breakers on the generator. I've had these trip causing issues.

RE: Bed room mattressress

Bought a queen from Costco. I think the stock one was a little shorter but, only by a few inches. Fits well and priced great. Very comfortable.
