RE: Dialysis - Full Time RV'ers experiences?

You would fit right in at our winter camping spot (Roycroft Trailer and RV Park-Seminole, Fl). Seminole dialysis is two blocks away.

RE: Transporting mobility scooter with 5th wheel

My DW has been in the same exact mobility situation as you for six years. She now has a pride victory 10 scooter. I have transported it all over the country. Our fifth wheel has a slide out tray in the basement. I pull the tray out and dissamble the scooter and place it on the tray and push the tray back into the trailer. The scooter comes apart into six pieces. Now once we arrive at the campground and want to go out for activities, shoping, ect. I installed a bruno 550 elec. lift in the bed of the truck to lift the scooter into the bed. I hard wired the lift off the truck battery because I am not smart enough to tap into the trailer wires. I picked this lift because it lets down into the bed to not interfer with the fifth wheel operation. If you pm me your phone number I will send you pictures from my smart phone which I am just now learning how to use.

DW Passed Her Test Today

After two total knee replacement surgeries and three seperate weeks in the hospital in the last 10 months, along with months of rehabilitation she passed the test. The test consisted of being able to walk up the four steps of the fifth wheel, the two steps to the bedroom area and get up from the toilet unaided. Now we are packing up the trailer for Florida. Just wanted to let you know that we are very happy.

Replacing Day Night shades

Has anyone replaced their day night shades with home style blinds? If so who did it, what did it cost and do you like the new ones? We have day night shades and some of them are needing to be re strung.

RE: Power on the hills.5.9 Cummins

I tow a 16000 pound fifth wheel. We took it across the West Va mountains twice last year. The truck is a six speed maunal. It never required going lower than 4th gear on all the grades. We pass all of the 18 weelers going up those big long mountains. The truck has a edge ez that is set on level 1.

RE: Love my tuck bed fuel tank

I have a 70 gallon transfer flow and love it. I like being able to fuel without the trailer.

400-500 Miles for a 2 day stay?

Would you take your rv 400-500 miles or more for a 2 day stay. I am asking this because college football season is coming. We love college football. We follow the swac to Al,Ms,La,Ar and tx. These states are low cost areas of hotels. Since it cost us app. 40.00 for every l00 miles that we travel with the rv, last year we used our mini van and stayed in hotels. We prefer the rv but the numbers say hotel.

RE: Selling on eBay

DW and I set up a on line consignment store. We make a few dollors sometime. The main problem is acquiring the items at a price that leaves room for you to add a profit margin. We get out items from yard sales and estate sales. Once I ended up selling a item for less than I paid for it (not good). Competing with walmart and dollor tree ect. prices is difficult. The good part is that you can set up a small business will little overhead. Good Luck

Dodge Life Time Powertrain Warranty?

In 2008 we purchased a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan with the life time powertrain warranty. Have any of you had any experience with the Dodge dealer on this issue? Our van only has 51000 miles and is doing fine, somehow I don't believe the dodge people on this warranty. It is suppose to be for the life time of the orginal owener.
