A/C Sparks = Fire Hazard

I have had the GSESP Gold Plan on my 2004 Safari Zanzibar for several years. Last year I had a bad “chatter” in the front Dometic Penguin heat pump fan. The fan blades were contacting the metal housing and I was afraid if not fixed, it may cause a fire. The shop where I took it routinely handles GSESP work said the claim was refused because the a/c was not “broken” and repairable. I paid a significant amount to get this repaired; however, this spring the same “chatter” has returned. The shop says the claim may still be refused, but if the a/c is replaced, the entire electronic system will have to be replaced because the new units utilize different technology. I have 2 questions: (1) now that I have paid for repairs that did not work, will GSESP replace this defective a/c? And if so, (2) will GSESP pay for the electronic system conversion required for the a/c replacement? Thanks for your response. Rush

RE: OILY TOAD!

Thanks Horsedoc. They DID replace the dip-stick just after purchase and with a one that was not marked... so they marked it. I always wondered if they guessed, but this problem has never happened so I thought they got it right. I will do the refill "test" when I change in a few weeks and see if the problem disappears. Thanks again.

OILY TOAD!

I have a 2004 40’ Safari motorhome with a Cummins 370 engine which I purchased new and it has 47,000 miles. Last fall while traveling from Lake Guntersville State Park in central Alabama to the Talladega Speedway I noticed a considerable amount of oil splattered on the front of my toad. It appeared to have come from the tube under my engine, which I believe is called a “slobber” or “blow-by tube”. This is ”hilly” country and I used the Pac-Brake a lot; however, this route is certainly not as steep as the Smokies that we have traveled without this problem. I always top-off the oil before a trip and never over fill it. What do you think? Thanks, Rush

Flooding Tail Lights

When the towing gear was installed on my new 2008 Saturn Outlook 4 years ago, the tail lights were modified by the installer who put in separate bulbs for the motorhome brake lights. The holes for the bulbs were sealed with silicone, but 2 years later the tail lights flooded which discolored the tail light trim and would have eventually caused the lights to fail. The dealership replaced the tail lights under warranty and again sealed the separate bulbs which they reluctantly replaced. Now these have also flooded and I am wondering if there is a better way to connect the lights rather than cutting holes again? Thanks for any advice. Rush

RE: AM I COVERED?

The leakage was a bad fuel lift pump which was replaced by the Cummins service facility. GS ESP covered all but the $250 deductable after a debate regarding the amount charged.

Need Over-night Park on I-10

Returning home from Disney I am looking for an overnight park between Marianna and Defuniak Springs close to I-10. Arrive late and leave early, so need pull-thru for quick access/exit with room for slide-outs and 50 Amps. Any suggestions? Thanks
