RE: Where to sale my used part

Had really good luck on Forest Rivers forum. X2 - I always assumed that this site had a for sale thread or forum also, but you know what they say about assuming something. Yes try becoming a member of the Forest River Forum site and try there.

RE: Canceling A 10 Year Permit Part Tres

Some of you may remember that I was having a problem getting my permit canceled but it came back. I had sent it to the address that was on the web but they moved the office. I resent it to the new address. One poster told me of doing this multiple times as they kept asking for more paperwork. Well today I received a letter from SAT. They also need a copy of the new USA registration showing the new owners name. But it has to be apostiled. That is a real problem. The person whose name is on the registration has to request the Apostle . I called the SAT office and spoke to 4 different people. They would not budge. BTW: No one speaks English , the phone connection sounds like 2 Tomato Juice cans and they spoke so fast I could hardly understand anything. I will need extra BP meds today. I have contacted the buyer and hope he will help. I think I will take up drinking! Moisheh Just curious - what does " apostle" mean as you used it here? Best of luck with getting this issue resolved.

RE: Hanging the hitch on the pin box?

RE: Walmart Camping?

Oh my achin' head... Tell ya what: here's a link to 5,871 posts in a single thread on this subject. Well I looked thru the first 10 pages and found GS and casinos mentioned twice a- vast majority of posts referred to WM. Nothing about Target, BJ'S ,Best Buy that I saw. Just thought I would ask on this forum and obviously you're not the guy that knows.

RE: Walmart Camping?

We see this topic come up often regarding WM. Does anyone know what the policy of RV parking is at other big box stores, such as Target, BJ's , Best Buy, etc.? Also, is the WM policy applicable to their Good Sam stores also?

RE: Cereal of the 50's

Don't remember that cereal, but I used to a cereal called Corn Soya made by Kellogg's.

RE: Does anyone else have this problem?

Just put your truck into reverse to take the load off of the hitch latch. Then put your truck in park and you'll be able to pull the lever with ease. X2

RE: Get out and go... while you still can! (A whiney rant)

Not a "whiney rant" at all. You certainly don 't fit my description of "whiney" by any means. Rather you sound like a brave person who put his trust and faith into a surgeon who apparently doesn't deserve to be in any kind of medical practice at all. I could go on, but just let me say that I wish you a full and speedy recovery and hope that you and yours can finally get started on your dream trip very soon.

RE: Rip Van Winkle

Went there once several years ago and thoroughly enjoyed the week. The staff was very nice, accommodating and extremely knowledgeable about the area. We were given two or three short driving tour routes to maximize our time in the area. This was where we first discovered that New York was way more than just New York City! Your last sentence speaks volumes about NYS. I was born and raised in upstate NY (around Rochester) and every time we go home now we are still amazed at the beautiful countryside that upstate NY consists of.

RE: RV Parks not showing rates

Maybe the old saying "If you have to ask, you can't afford it" applies here.

RE: Extending Battery Cables?

I have a slide out battery tray but the battery cables are to short and don't allow the tray to slide out. I wanted to know if its practical to add cables to the existing one to get the length I need. I really can't replace the stock ones because they travel so far that I can't see where the other end goes, so I thought about bolting the new cables to the existing ones. Would this work? Thanks, Dave I guess you can lengthen them, but I wonder about the ends you can't see - eventually you are going to have remove corrosion from the ends you can't see or replace them entirely.

RE: Rear Kitchens

This has been brought up many times. Probably 90% say no problem. I am in the no problem group. There is this same thread on another RV forum and the answers are about the same - most like them. FWIW - we have a Silverback 29 RK and love it - just pack it right and no problems.

RE: Getting my new AC up on top of my 5'ver

I'll tell you how I did it - I paid my dealer to install it. Worked great .

RE: Do you carry flares

Thanks for posting that site. I live in Texas and did not know I needed to carry flares. Just a thought - but you might think that every RV dealer would be aware of the RV laws in his state and let each buyer know what they are.

RE: First-Time RV Trip

Fly...so you will all be speaking to each other by day 3... Not to scare or discourage you, but this could be good first time out advice. can you first do some shorter trips just to get the feel of how everything and everyone works together. There is no way to send the kids outside to play while you are going down the highway (no legal way anyway).

RE: Illegal or not?

Wow - that's something I'd expect in Cali or Mass. What's next - no rifle racks in our pickups?

RE: Illegal or not?

Never heard of it.. Here in Texas we all have balls. Yeah and plenty of them. I can't ever imagine any cop in Texas ever stopping anyone for having the ball in their hitch while driving.

RE: Illegal or not?

I know this might be not be the same if you are from different parts of the country, but is it illegal for you to drive your vehicle with the ball still installed in the hitch? I just got a warning about mine, and I've never heard of anything like that. OMG - I hope not!

RE: 50 amp rig with 30 amp service

Seriously guys, this is simple... the 50amp service is to run 2nd AC, pretty much.. no need to worry about running anything on propane or freaking out needlessly.. relax... don't use your 2nd AC and you're fine. I believe you are right on regarding 30 v. 50 amp service differences. Prettry simple.
