RE: NADA are they crazy ???

They are only looking at fact your camper is 10 years old. All trailers loose their value fast.

RE: Spare Tire Security & Extra Spare?

In 20 years of camping I have never had a spare tire stolen from the back of a camper and I have never seen a reason to carry more than one spare. I check the tires before I leave on any long trip and if they look bad I replace them before I leave then I don’t worry about a spare. We are planning a trip to Death Valley in the spring which will be over 4000 miles round trip and I am only taking one spare and last year alone we put 4200 miles on the trailer tires and had no problems.

RE: Reno on rv

I am not sure it can be done, because of the drains in your tanks. You might have to replace the holding tanks with custom built ones to get everything to drain.

RE: mfg. date on trailer tires ??

There should be a 4 digit number after that code.
Example: DOT K3AP 1307 on my tires
Which is the 13th week of 2007

RE: How Many Miles On Goodyear Maratthons

I ran mine for about 20,000 miles in 8 years before I replaced them because of the rubber cracking.

RE: Extra Long Sewer Hose

I have never seen one longer than 20 feet and they are getting harder to find all they seem to sell now is 10' and 15' you have to search for a 20 footer any more.

RE: Where should the water go...

We had our gray water tank over flow once and it came up in bathroom in and under the tub where the drain pipe went into the tank. So to answer your question yes it will come back up through the fitting in the tank and it went all over our bathroom.

RE: Ham Radio as a hobby?

I have been in Ham radio since 86 and its alive and well and no more expensive than any other hobby it depends on how you want to start out. Most of us have a lot or different rigs but when we started we bought them one at a time as we could afford them. I have a rig for HF, VHF, and UHF and they were purchased over time not all at once, so get what you need to get you started and enjoy the hobby. One thing when and if something was to happen and the cell phones are down, your the only one that can send messages around the block and around the world.

RE: "You can't stay here, your trailer is too old."

That type of restriction happen every day their are a lot of campgrounds that wont let anything older than 10 years in their campground. Some even state that on their web page.

RE: Whats the best way to test the heater on the driveway ?

Well I would turn propane on and turn the thermostat up until the furnace kicks on, other than that not sure what you want to test.

RE: Pin that holds up all that tongue weight

In RV parks I only use the tongue jack to hold the trailer and when storing at home I use 3 concrete blocks and a board or two under the tongue with a little weight on the jack

Bears and not being able to camp in certain places is why we traded up to a hard side trailer. We enjoyed our popup but if you want to cam every place you need a hardside.

RE: Campground sewer connection

Most campgrounds have a 4" pipe that you sit your hose on via an elbow and i use sewer weights to hold it in place. I have a 20 ' and a 10' and a 5' sewer hose because there will be times when 20' is not enough the most I have ever used at one time is 30' in a campground in SD
