RE: Heater Issue

It is a analog thermostat. Understanding what Donn was saying. It appears it is working just not as it should in my opinion but I am unsure.

RE: Heater Issue

Good question how do I find that information? It is the original thermostat from 2010.

Heater Issue

Cold in the camper this morning. Checked the setting on the thermostat and was set at a little above 70 but not heat. Turned thermostat up to 80 no heat. Turned the thermostat off waited to a count of 30 turned back on and heater worked long enough to take the chill off. Again adjusted the thermostat no heat turn it off and heat back on. Could the thermostat be going out and the temp register be out of whack. Also when the heat is on the burner seems to cycle on and off. You can hear the burn kick on then kick off but the fan continues to run. Help please don't want to be cold again here in Minnesota Far-N-Sweet

RE: Fridge on the fritz

Looks simple to install. And a good option thank you. I will look for the kit or order if necessary. In the mean time a couple of option are to add a bulb which I will be trying tonight as we have a break in the chill. I can actually stay outside long enough to do it. Far-N-Sweet

RE: Fridge on the fritz

Awesome thank you. I will work to figure out how to get a light bulb in there. Temp is rising but looks like a cold coming back next week. Checked on the Class A site some have suggested covering half the vent cover to slow the air flow to the area. A light bulb or heat source sounds better to me. Far-N-Sweet

RE: Frig in very cold weather

This great information I am having the same issue. I am full timing in MN right now too. I see the temp is going to get to 18 here today. I am sure mine stopped when we hit -12 a couple of night. Far-N-Sweet

Fridge on the fritz

I am currently living temporarily in my unit up in Minneapolis. The temp has been to say the least quite cold. My fridge has seemed to stop working. It feels cold in the back of the freezer but the fridge is not warm but not cold. Is it possible the temp outside is affecting the fridge? Really don't want to have to eat out every night. Any help would be appreciated. Far-N-Sweet

RE: What inspired you to start RVing?

Tent camped for many years and loved the mountains. Started talking about a popup as we were carrying a small apartment in 2 cars. Never got the pop up stayed with tents till 08. Bought a 30"TT best thing we could have done till a RV Show. Well now we are in a 39" 5ver. We will take it out for a day if my DW has her way. I myself would rather have 2 or more Far & Sweet

RE: Stagnating RV Community?

We are in our 3rd RV with no plans to slow our travels down. We looks for any RV parks and State parks with in a 4 hour drive for holiday weekends and 2 hr drives on weekends. Fuel has not been a deterrent as we own a truck and know what to expect. 3 one thousand mile trips each year usually 5 to 7 days. DW will take the 5er out for one day if I let her. Far-N-Sweet

RE: Refrig not as cold during hot weather

Fred thank you for the fridge lesson really appreciate that. I keep the unit in a storage lot and usually start the fridge up 8 hours before leaving on a trip which in most cases have been plenty of time. Being as hot as it has been I thought this would be enough time. I run on gas till arriving they on to electric once there. Unfortunately the site we had was full sun but did have plenty of space between sites. I will use the suggestion of gas during the hotter weather and see how that works. Far-N-Sweet

Refrig not as cold during hot weather

This weekend we camped with the temp being between 101 to 105 for 3 days. Humidity in the 48% range. Our fridge did not get very cold and the heat sinks were constantly full of condensation like in defrost mode. Is this normal during hot weather or is there something wrong with the fridge. The Freezer stayed cold but not freezing as it should even with bags of ice. Took a full day to freeze 4 bottles of water. Far-N-Sweet

RE: Broke the new 5'er in

Not a water faucet but had the hose from the washer/dryer combo come out of the drain. Man did that wet stuff up all in the closet and carpet in the bedroom. Lessoned learned don't run washer while fishing. Things could have been alot worse. Far-N-Sweet
