RE: Replacing shore power cable for plug.

It would make more sense to have an outlet type connection, and just make your shore cable a double male (one at each end). It would be much safer. Keep in mind, YOU may know it's "live", but some child could go exploring, and get killed. At least try and make it "code".
Never, ever make a double male ended extention chord. If you have one cut it up before someone gets killed.

I have fixed half dozen delaminated spots on my motor home in the past several years. I used different methods depending on conditions. It is a process.

RE: intel-core vs AMD

Is the processor what give it more speed, and what 'reading' in the specs tells you which is faster?
The system as a whole gives you speed. Fast processor alone doesn't give you speed. To move the information across your motherboard efficiently you need a big frontside bus. To quickly free up the processor you need a fast graphics card. To retrieve stored information fast you need a fast hard drive. One under sized component will cause an processing bottle neck and bog down the fastest processor.

RE: Who here cooks inside camper or Outside camper?

We camp Old Forge. We cook inside and out mostly out. The bears are not that big of an issue. I would cleanup and stow your gear. Don't leave food outside.

RE: What kind of vacuum

We have a Dirt Devil, don't know the model but I think it is Dynamite, but you sure are right about it being noisy. It does a great job, no bag, but it sounds like a jet turbine spooling up at 15 feet.
I got this..great little vac but you wont be using it in a library.

RE: Campground Albany NY Area?

http://arrowheadmrvp.com/
This place gets good reviews and is close to Albany and not far off the Thruway.
Travel safe.
I have stayed here many times. Its within half mile of the Thruway, clean, friendly and right on the Mohawk river. Very close to Schenectady and about 15 minutes from Albany. You can't go wrong.

RE: RV resorts foreclosure sales

All corporate accounts are frozen. They couldn't return your money if they wanted to. The court appoints a trustee. That person or persons job is to liquidate the assets to pay off the creditors and make as much of the debt go away as possible. If there isnt enough to go around they pay out percentages. Two things cause corporations to go bankrupt. Insufficient operating capital or creditors calling in their loans. In any event they cant operate.
I have been laid off for 3 years and really didnt have the money to go camping their discounts lured me into paying with money I didn't have. Pretty much ruined my camping season. I would suggest if you paid by credit card protest the charge and let the credit card company fight it out with the court system.

RE: RV resorts foreclosure sales

and I am just not sure whether to be worried at this point or not.
I would be worried. Bankruptcy means the courts have decided that their debt exceeds their net worth and all of the assets will be sold off until all of the debtors are paid or all of the assets are liquidated, whichever comes first. Typically, all of the people they do business with will turn off their credit. Like utility companies. If the resort happens to be bought by someone that is going to run it as a resort you might be lucky and they may honor your reservation. If its sold to someone that is going to build a housing complex you will be S.O.L.. Personally, I would visit Mr Moser at his Saratoga office or at his house and persuade him to give you your money back asap.

RE: Need help after a not so great inspection

Never heard of such a thing but that doesn't mean anything. $1200 for one u-bolt, I'll do it for $600. Thats crazy. Why not just cut it off with a cutoff wheel or reciprocating saw? Am I missing something? I replaced one on my class A in about 45 minutes and that included the trip to Harbor Freight to buy an impact gun, that was a 30 minute round trip.
