RE: Buying new F 350 diesel how often do you

Still from the OLD School "3500" Miles. The dealer says it is a waste but I feel good doing it. The oil looks like Grease when it is changed.

RE: Jayco versus Keystone

Well I have owned 2 Jayco Eagle TT and 3 Keystone Montanas I have not had any major issues out of any of the 5 RVs. I would probably feel like the Jayco might have better quality than the Keystone. I now have a 2013 Heartland Landmark and Love it. There is no comparison in the quality between these RVs.

RE: Ridiculous price of Fifth Wheels

The prices for these fifth wheels continues to escalate and the quality of the product does not get any better. Look at at mid range priced fifth wheel {one that you could buy for 50000-55000 and then go look a Redwood and so that lists for 120,00 and maybe you could buy it for 80,000. There is no way that them 120,000 dollar fifth wheels have 40000-50000 more goodies in them than the fifth wheels that list for 75000-85000. I bought a new Keystone Raptor back in `05 and it listed for 38000 and at the time that list price was at the upper end. Heck I bet the upper most fifth wheel did not list for much more than 50,000. In 8 years we have gone from 50,000 top end fifth wheels to 125000-1300000, list prices have doubled and we all know that the componets to build these things has not doubled. The manufactures and dealers are making out like fat cats when they sell the fifth wheels that list for 125,000. I would bet my last penny that them 125,000 dollar fifth wheels do not cost 10,000 dollars more to build than a 60,000-70,000 dollar fifth wheel. As soon as the Chinese start manufacturing them - instead of just the appliances, parts, etc. - the prices will come down..:R BTW - go price a New Horizon, LOL! . And the Quality will go to H_ _ _

RE: Montana 3150RL

I traded in a 2010 Montana 3150RL at RVSFORLESS.net in Knoxville, Tennessee. for a Full body Paint Landmark. The Montana was in EXCELLENT Shape when I traded it in to them. It was always well maintained and had a new set of Goodyear Merathon tires on it. Check it out. Any questions send me a message. Just a long haul from Washington. Karen or Butch are the Owners at RVSFORLESS are great to deal with.

RE: Consumer Reports thinks EcoBoost doesn't deliver

My dad owns a Ecoboost F150 Crew Cab 4X4 with the Max Trailer Tow Package and had an identical truck before with the 5.4 engine and the Ecoboost will out perform the 5.4 and gets better MPG. He tows a 34' Flagstaff TT with 2 slide outs and it does great. He can run with me towing my 2013 Landmark that weighs 13000 lbs. with my 2011 F350 6.7 PSD DRW Crew Cab. The Ecoboost is an impressive engine.

Front Lounge - Big Horn Partial Body Paint look really nice. These can be ordered with Goodyear 614 Tires (G Rated), etc. RVSFORLESS in Knoxville is not too far for you to travel to. Great people to deal with.

RE: Upper-mid to high end level 5th wheel?

If I bought a Used RV I would not buy one from a Company that had gone out of Business.

RE: Upper-mid to high end level 5th wheel?

Landmark - We bought a 2013 Landmark which has a warranty for Full Time and we use ours for 2 big trips a year and a lot of weekend camping. You can not go wrong with the Landmark made by Heartland. RVSFORLESS.com in Knoxville is a good place to purchase at.

RE: looking for full time fifth wheel

I owned 3 Montana's with NO problems and now own a 2013 Landmark which has Warranty for Full Time Camping. We really like this Landmark, don't think you could go wrong with one of these High End Units.

RE: A all weather 5th wheel

Mobile Suites are heavy. We have a 2013 Landmark Full Body Paint which is built for Full Timing and has the Warranty for that as well. We have owned 3 Montana's in the past and now they have the Full Time Warranty as well.

RE: New Rig?

We bought a 2013 Landmark Full Body Paint and love it. You can buy the Landmark without the Full Body Paint for about $65,000. I would also look at the Big Horn and it can be built with a Partial Body Paint and you can get the leveling systems, etc. as options.

RE: Diesel Truck-What would you buy?

I would hold off on Ford until they they come up with a better High pressure fuel pump. It's an $11,000.00 repair and it sounds like they may not warranty. I have decided against a Ford and I am generally a "Ford guy", my DD is a F150. I'm just not comfortable with Ford's diesel direction in the the last 9 years. It is amazing the price difference right now between the Cummins to an equal Duramax....generally $10K difference. Ford has a good Diesel now. They went with the 6.7 PSD in 2011 and it is a Beast. Absolutely NO problems. Change the Oil and fill it up and drive it. Absolutely no problems? How about cracked valves, turbos, radiators, HPFP and sensor problems? NO PROBLEMS FOR ME. My 2011 F350 6.7 PSD has been perfect.

RE: Diesel Truck-What would you buy?

Try the new 6.7 PSD that Ford has you will not be disappointed. I have a 2011 F350 PSD DRW and love the way it tows my 2013 Landmark. i get about 19+ MPG empty and can get 11.8 MPG towing 13,000 lbs. with a 3:73 gear.

RE: THINKING OF BUYING A 2013 ALPINE 3720FB

We owned 3 Montana's which is the next step up and very comparable to the Alpine made by Keystone. We had NO problems from any of the 3 Montana's. I now own a 2013 Landmark Grand Canyon Full Body Paint. We have some friends that traded an Alpine for a Mobile Suites and are sick that they made that trade.

RE: "best" 5th wheel manufacturer need advice

We have owned 3 Montana's with NO major problems. We now own a 2013 Landmark made by Heartland which is a Full Body Paint and has a 2 yr. warranty + 5 yrs. Structural Warranty. These are also Warrantied for Full Time Use. It is a GREAT Unit and has lots of nice features. I tow it with a 2013 F350 4X2 DRW PSD and have no problems at all.
