RE: DEF, even dumber and blind too.

People some time talk about what a crummy place the def fill is on the chevy. I have a chevy and I like the fact that it is under the hood for just this reason. Anybody could have a special moment and do the same as 4x4. I have wondered with the ford high pressure fuel system failures if this may not have caused a good portion of them. Lot more places to go wrong under the hood my friend. And maybe give the link for failure rates for the Ford and GM's. It's not there cause GM is covering theirs and Ford.... hasn't been. The fuel door is the most logical position IMO. That tank below the curb side front wheel isn't what I'd hope for! Great truck otherwise We have a few Silverados in the Border Patrol and had to replace the DEF tank because it hangs so low to the ground!

Flying Colors

Just got back from a weeks worth of camping at three different campgrounds. One of the things I do during set up is to raise my flag on the rear ladder of my fifth wheel. Been doing that since I bought the camper. What I have come to notice is, I was the only person who did this. I'm hoping the patriotic spirit has nor completely disappeared in our great American past time!

RE: Tailgate replacement ideas pleas

I don't tow all too much and don't want to give up my step and handle. Those are handy when climbing in the back

RE: Does Ford Diesel engine/xmission have Exhaust Brake?

My F350, as others have said, has a built in engine braking system it works great, a little to good sometimes. Tap the brakes in tow/haul mode and the truck quickly slows down. I'm towing a 12600 lb fiver and barely need to touch my brakes on off ramps to stop. On long interstate grades I sometime will have to turn off the tow/haul mode to keep my speed up. Great system, love it. Travel on. X2. I've used it on some pretty steep winding roads towing 13K, no problem at all. X2:)

RE: Shelby Raptor

Forest, I enjoyed the article on ford pickups. I tried to copy the site at the top of the page and send it to my son and a few friends. when I sent it, then I double checked the site, it came up fox news with the top headline, not new ford truck, but new bacon flavored condom. so I guess I got bit, will double check my info next time. I still would like to send the ford truck information to my son if they are still accepting any site info from me. can you give me info how to copy the proper site so it comes up about the new ford truck. Thanks Fred, Sent you the link in a message

RE: Ford 6.0 fix

First step is to remove the bumpers Wait a sec, remove Bumpers? If they are removing the rear bumper to pull the cab, I think you might wanna find a new mechanic. No its the right mech, hes gonna put a dodge/chevy between them. Lol I wouldn't quit my day job if I were you!

Winterizing Water Lines

I have a 2010 Cougar fiver. I live in a not so cold climate when winter hits, although it will drop below freezing on some days. There are two water lines I can see water in running under the basement up to the master bathroom. I have used air, open up faucets method to rid water from the lines, however water is still in these lines. Maybe these lines go to the water pump. If so how do I bleed those? TIA!
