RE: My waterpump is working??

I had the same symptoms as the OP. In my case it turned out to be that the bypass valve was bad and was allowing a small amount of air to be sucked in (presumably from the empty fresh water side of the valve). Replacing the bypass valve solved the problem.

RE: F secure

I found this on their support site Removing F-Secure: "Q 8. I cannot uninstall F-Secure Mobile Anti-Virus from the Application Manager. How do I uninstall? "You cannot remove F-Secure Mobile Anti-Virus through application control. This action is restricted for security reasons; some viruses try to remove existing antivirus installations. To uninstall F-Secure Mobile Anti-Virus: Open the F-Secure Mobile Anti-Virus main view. Scroll down the menu and select the option ‘Uninstall’. This will start the uninstallation of the product."

RE: KeePass?

Can't help with KeePass but can highly recommend free LastPass (at least with Firefox -- works with other browsers but I haven't tried them).

RE: Brother HL-2140 Mono Laser Printer?

I printed a Delta/Northwest ticket a few weeks ago on a Brother black & white laser printer. Colors come out in shades of gray and the airline had no problem with it. I don't print much but I still got tired of paying for ink jet printer cartridges.

RE: New page format???

This afternoon I had the prev- mext page at the bottom, tonight I don't. Please fix. There is a problem and the technicians have been made aware of it. That said, I think you will find that the problem is consistent, at least it has been in the hundreds of pages I've looked at. The issue occurs on the various forum topic pages that do not have tips on the right side. If the tips are present then the link bar, which includes the Next link, is also present. If the tips column is empty, then the link bar is missing. I do not see the problem on thread pages, tips column populated or not. Tom Tom -- that is exactly the opposite of what I experience. In my case, and it does seem consistent, if I am in an area such as "Towing" where it lists multiple pages of threads (but I am not actually in an individual thread) the "Next" link displays at the bottom only when there is no tips column. If there are tips displayed then there is no "Next" at the bottom. Most of the time there are tips and therefore no "Next." On the other hand, when I'm in a multi-page thread I do seem to see both the "Next" and the tips.

RE: new system on forum

most of the time there is no "New Topic" or "Next" page option at the bottom of the page. When this happens, are you sure you're looking at a thread that spans more than one page? The problem has varied over the last few days but most of the time it isn't on pages of a specific thread but is in the list of threads -- for example if I go to the main page of the forum and select "Technology Corner" I will get 8 pages of thread topics with a "Next" selection at the top of the page but not at the bottom of the first page or subsequent pages. I'm using Firefox 3.5.5 and the problem began when the new Tips were added. Like I said further above the forum moderators are aware of and are working on the problem. A minor inconvenience until it's fixed.

RE: new system on forum

Are you sure that you haven't accidentally chosen "Newest First" for your post order (or vice versa)? That would change how things look for you and may not be as intuitive depending on how you are used to reading things. It's next to the "New topic" link at the top and bottom of the posts. Try changing that and see if it renews your hope in this world :) No it is a forum problem and they have acknowledged that they are aware of it and are working on it (Forum Tech Support area). For me most of the time there is no "New Topic" or "Next" page option at the bottom of the page. It's a minor inconvenince that started when they added the Tips column and I have no doubt they'll eventually get it fixed.

RE: dry wave air dryer

I've got one you can have. All it does is attempt to slightly warm the air and warm air holds more moisture therefore the relative humidity is lower. In my climate and my 5th wheel it didn't warm the air enough to make any difference. The fact that they use no more electricity than a 100 watt bulb is a clue to how much it can warm the air. I felt like I was doing something beneficial until I actually measured the humidity level with and without it.

RE: Sharp microwave convection oven

I had a very good experience with MicrowaveDisplay.com. You remove the control panel -- pretty easy and he provides instructions -- and send it to him. For $39.95 in most cases he will repair it and that includes return shipping. He does board level repairs and is very prompt and reliable.

RE: Exhaust brakes need for 2006 F-350?

I tow a 10,200 lb actual loaded weight 5th wheel with a 2005 F350 up and down the Cascades frequently and about the only use the brakes get is to initiate the tow haul feature. Works extremely well.

RE: No "Next" page choice at bottom of first page

Also just had the same problem on page 2 of Tech Issues. The ads on the right extended down farther than the topics by several inches so that left inches of white space in the main screen area and then no Prev/Next at the bottom. I'm using Firefox 3.5.5

RE: No "Next" page choice at bottom of first page

Still a problem for me -- first page only -- page 2 and up work fine.

No "Next" page choice at bottom of first page

Today is the first day that I have not had a "Next" option at the bottom of the first page of a forum (e.g. first page of "Towing" or first page of "Forum Technical Support". I can only get to the second page of each by scrolling back to the top of the fist page and selecting "Next" there. A minor inconvenience that seems to be new today.

RE: Acumen Hitch

They only have one dealer, Them in Kansas ? When I checked their dealer page it shows dealers 5 in Kansas and 2 in Oregon -- those were the only 2 states I checked. I didn't read all of the details but at first glance this seems pretty much like surge brake controllers commonly seen on rental equipment/

RE: Email client for windows 7

I used outlook express for years and was happy with it but I just built a new computer with win 7 and it uses windows live for email. The problem with that is there seems to be a delay in picking up other email accounts such as gmail. I need something that will go get my email when it arrives not on some scheduled time. Anybody using an email client on 7 that will get your mail when you tell it to. Other than that, I'm very happy with win 7, so far. Sam What I do is that I use NO email client at all with gmail. I just leave a tab open in my browser for the gmail site and am notified immediately when new gmail arrives.

RE: 2 1/2 hours PC shopping.......

Think pads was one of the better mid level PCs at Best Buy. I have always liked the think pads, maybe because it was our very first in car computers we used. Hopefully this thread will change directions from the WIndows/OS X way it's heading as some are posting truly inaccurate information.. To the best of my knowledge Best Buy does not sell ThinkPads or any other Lenovo laptops -- at least they are not at my local Best Buy and they are not on their web site. That is a brand I'm considering and I'd like to be able to see one. Unless there is another brand with the little red mouse button in the middle of the keyboard. Actually I never looked at the name as I assumed it was a thinkpad because of the red do hicky button.. OK I did a little more research and found that there is a BestBuyBusiness website that has Lenovo and that while my store doesn't carry Lenovo some Best Buy stores have a Best Buy for Business designation and they do carry Lenovo.

RE: Using Google Chrome?

Anyone using Google's Beta Browser? Seems that it's been in Beta a long time. ... There have been non-beta versions of Chrome available since early January 2009. They label the non-beta version the "Stable" version and they also have a "Beta" version and a "Developer" version.

RE: Carbonite (back-up)

A couple of other options are iDrive or Mozy. Both offer up to 2 GB free which is enough for me to back up just my data files. I use iDrive with just a scheduled backup so it doesn't have any effect of slowing down my machine when it is not backing up.
