RE: Strange Electrical issues... totally stumped

In my opinion the problem is 120v AC. No electric to WH= no hot water. No electric to converter= no 12v battery charger. The only stumper is the diference in brightness of the 12v lights. You need a test meter if some kind to be able to mesure 120v ac at verious places in your rig. I would start at the electric pedistal outside. Then take the cover off of the elctric panel inside and carfully measure the voltages before and after the breakers. If that is all good you may well have a wiring problem in the rig somewhere perhaps related to the 12v problem. No slam intended but if you dont know how to test around electric you may well be better off to call an electrician or RV tech.

RE: surcharges

It is my contention that those who speak badly about pricing, dont have the slightest clue about costs at campgrounds. They complain when the price includes everything. They complain when they are only charged for what they use. They complain about KOAs but they keep going to them. Sometimes there are extra charges because the local government adds them to the bill and is completly out of the hands of the campground. Ever go to a motel or hotel?

RE: Cypress Slide-out Lock

If you try to open the slide with one of the locks still in place, it will force the slide out of alignment. :-( They are also not user friendly, the screws that hold them came loose, and they weigh a lot.
I have had several 5th wheels w/ slides and none of them had locks either. I always make sure the slide is tight when closed and have not "seen" a problem with any of them to date. Not saying it cant happen.

RE: Atwood Stove problem

As I recall the door is removeable. Push in on the bottom of the door to be sure it is in all the way.

RE: Upgrading your 5th wheel from 16" to 17.5 " tires & wheels

Wheels & tires
I too went with the link above and got the wheels for the 9/16 studs and the Goodyear G114s. Two of them mounted and balanced(with stick on weights)and delivered UPS was $1130 including new lug nuts and cap(I used the old ones as they were beter) Five would cost $2730 depending on your location. Excelent customer service.

RE: Hard up??

I think the whole idea of discounts is just another way to get you to stay there. There is no connection between the park and the company discount card. The company doesnt remburse the park in any way. So whats the big deal about using an expired card or one of the hundred GS cards that they send out to us all the time?

RE: Are outdoor mats a reason to not stay?

I am finding as a Workamper, that a lot of guests think customer service is letting them do whatever they want. Any time you try to enforce published rules they say you are being rude etc. Here most everyone says how nice our park is, in part because we have nice grass. I would say its worth it to loose one or two to have many happy kampers.

RE: Which two tires?

I finally decided to put the 17.5s on the front positions replacing the 2005 G614s. The fronts carry the most weight. The latest buzz seems to be that the newer G614 (2008) are more relyable but if I had to buy tires amyway I wanted more selection and capacity. I was also blessed with wheels from the factory that crack. The two new wheels will also replace them. I have already replaced the two on the rear. We will see how it works out.
