RE: Toilet Water Valve Leak

AZ most of the plumbing now is all plastic, plastic is OK, we use Pex in home building these days, there is however a wide range of fittings and quality, some of the RV stuff I have seen has been pretty cheap, fittings can fail, more often than not it happens during the original install, (over tighten, bend aggressively, etc....) it holds for awhile but after traveling and use it ultimately fails. Don't get me wrong it could have frozen due to remaining water, but you did use a compressor, and hopefully opened your low point drain and bypassed your water heater. If you must change the whole fitting use a higher quality one......good luck.

RE: Toilet Water Valve Leak

AZ, these toilets often have these running issues nothing to do with your winterizing, go to RVDREAMS, THERE is a recent thread call Potty Talk, we discuss a pretty easy fix , it requires a 12 volt 1/2" water valve and switch, if you have any questions ask away.

RE: 12 Volt Wiring Questions

Don't deal with the batteries, find a 12 volt wire feeding a light or switch and grab your power from that, it will already be fuse protected..

RE: Awning question what is too much wind

FWIW.....there are a lot of differences between awnings....some have automatic closers, some like ours cannot be tied down because it is mounted along the top of the roof line 12' off the ground.

RE: Awning question what is too much wind

Definately if leaving, usually at night. We have a wind sensor but unless I am passing through Girrard and they inspect and tell me the sensors are working I will air on the side of caution. I have been told to take a blow dryer to the sensor and it will activate the auto closing.....

It is a complete system, in other words the RV plumbing system is closed with vents sometimes tied directly to the fresh water tank, if not direct connected in some way by a branch....hard to explain but if you Google RV plumbing systems (IMAGES) you will see....
