RE: Modding an F-350 up or an F-550 down for TC

The 2013 ford F450 has 880lbs less payload then the F350. That is what i found out at the Dealership last week.
We were thinking about trading our 2002 f-350 dually to a F450.
We like the Eagle cap 1160.

ford superduty trans 2002 f-350 with 7.3

Just finished reading the post on the Allison Transmission oil change.
Got me thinking, i have a F-350 with a powerstroke 7.3 with 32,000 miles. I do my own oil changes every spring but never thought about the transmission. Can this be done as easy as the Allison?
Thanks

RE: Pontoon boats and Truck campers

Thanks for the replies:
The truck we have is a 2002 F-350 4-door dually with a 7.3 powerstoke setting in the back is a 2005 2500 9-6 Bigfoot.
The pontoon that we were looking was the 2013 18' Bass Buggy but with a few options the price gets right up there, so been looking around for a older one was thinking a 18' one the empty trailer would be easy to move around in the camp site.
Never fished from a pontoon but the seats and the canvas top looks like the way to go also need a trolling motor 12v or 24 v ?? for chasing around schooling fish.
Thanks
Any comments on pontoon fishing would be appreciated.

Pontoon boats and Truck campers

Thinking about changing from a deep vee (Sea Nymph) boat to a pontoon . For the ones that tow a pontoon is it a good match for pulling with a truck camper and what size of pontoon would be to large. Been looking at new 18 foot bass Buggy. Would a 20 foot be to large? This will used for fishing. Any comments would be helpfully.
Thanks!

Attwood water heater in 2005 Bigfoot

Before calling a RV service center i would like to ask a question.
Just returned from a 2 week camping/fishing trip about 5 days into the trip found the carpet under the table was a little damp one side of the dinett table has the furance and the other side has the water heater so i remove the items stored beside the water heater under the seat and they were also wet, the cold water lines in and the hot line out looked to be ok. would it be possiable the 7 year old water heater has a leak? If so is there a way i can pressure check it? Any help would be greatly appriciated.
thanks

RE: Yellowed plastic door window frames

The vent cover for the range hood on yours is yellow.
Whole rig stays in the garage out of the sun.
Will paint it this weekend.
Do you need a primer and any kind of sanding on the plastic?
Thanks

Fan Tastic Fan

I would like to replace the dome cover on your Fan Tasic fan in the bathroom with the new style cover (the one with the double layer plastic) also i would like to install a Fan Tasic Cover over the one above the Bed. Has anyone done one or both not sure if i know how.
Sent the company a e-mail from their web site called ask questions and had no reply. Was asking if i could get a PDF of the installation instructions before i go to Camping World.
Thanks
