RE: Thinking about buying a B

You mentioned Travasak in you experimenting with bedding. We bought one eight years ago and love it. You are correct with them not being around any longer but RVSuperbag is the same concept. You may want to check out their website. Glad you like your ERA and wish you many happy miles ahead.

RE: New TV AND Memory Foam for RT 210P

I agree with drsolo's post advising getting a separate TV and DVD. The original in our Sprinter was a combination. The TV went up but DVD still worked. Decided not to go that route again and purchased a Jensen TV made for RV's and boats.

RE: How to remove LTV Removable Pedestal

I think the black button may be stuck. Just step on it hard and twist the post counter clockwise.

RE: Sold house in one day

I heard that same news report about the demand for houses being greater than the supply. We are heading back to MD in a week to get our home ready for listing. I hope I can post the same results as the OP although we are not going fulltime just a permanent move to FL.

RE: asy 2 Ingredients Pineapple Angel Food Cake

When I received this recipe many years ago, the directions were for a tube pan. Nice to know you can choose your preference.

RE: asy 2 Ingredients Pineapple Angel Food Cake

Karylkoch, I have indeed made this Pineapple Angel Food Cake many times using just the cake mix and the can of crushed pineapple as you listed. The only difference is I bake it in a tube pan and follow only the temp and time listed on the box for using a tube pan. So sorry for the confusion.

RE: asy 2 Ingredients Pineapple Angel Food Cake

LindaAnn, I have never made it with anything but the crushed pineapple. It is a Weight Watcher recipe so you may check their website for an answer to your question.

RE: asy 2 Ingredients Pineapple Angel Food Cake

I have made this many times but use the traditional Angel Food tube pan and bake as directed on the box. Serve with fresh berries and whipped cream.

RE: Quick and Easy meals while at the race track

We purchased a Hamilton Beach 3.5 qt. crock pot on the advice of RV Godess who posts here. We have had it about 7 years so don't know if the exact one is still available. Paid $15.00 at Walmart. It has a silicone band that holds the lid on for security and it fits nicely in the small sink of our class B for safety.

RE: Do I need leveling blocks?

Yes. they are always with us. They are an item you may not use often but when you do, it is worth carring them.

RE: Pecan Pie Muffins

Thanks Diane, Hubby's favorite pie is pecan and I've never meet a dessert I didn't like. These should be great for traveling, too. Gail

RE: Turtle Cheesecake Ball

PGR Skye, Thank you, I think. We are going to an RV rally mid April. I'll take this so I won't over indulge. No willpower for sweets.

RE: Island/Pedestal Table: Ever use?

We use our rectangular table every day when rving. We have the electric sofa and our table slides back and forth and sideways which makes it convenient when eating our meals inside. Hubby uses it with his computer and we lower it to support cushions for our queen bed. We would be lost without our table and don't find it inconvenient at all.

RE: Small crock pot liners - revisited

I have been using the liners for a few years and never had them stick or leak. Would not use the crock pot when traveling if I had experienced any problems.

RE: KUNG PAO CHICKEN

Looks delicious, Terry. Still make your Inverter Stew from about 7-8 years ago when I first purchased The Camping Journal.

RE: Your favorite RV gadget?

How about a Dish Drying Mat? You can use under or in place of dish drying rack or to protect surfaces from scratches. They are about $5.00 at Walmart, Bed Bath & Beyond, etc.

RE: Old style vs new style interiors

Couldn't leave you out there alone, Mumkin. We love our medium cherry cabinetry, Ultra Leather electric sofa, and enclosed bathroon/shower. It only takes a push of a button to recline our sofa to read or watch TV with our feet up. Another push of a button and you can choose to sleep in the twin mode or fill in the space with the cushions, which we prefer, to have a queen bed. With our Travasak it goes from couch to bed in seconds. We all have our preference so isn't it nice that there is something out there for all of us. Our B Sprinter is a 2005/06 but would have no trouble finding a 2013 to our liking.

RE: 2005 FreeSpirit LTV questions

AsheGuy, I may have misunderstood the last question. I thought the op wanted to flush out or rinse out the black tank after dumping. If we are just dumping, we do as you describe.

RE: 2005 FreeSpirit LTV questions

dardaldanrvf, View my profile and you will see "Send a Private Message" above my name. We will be glad to help with your questions. We had plenty when we purchased ours. Rallies are a great place to learn about B's. LTV has chapters rallies throughout the US and Canada and an owners rally in Winkler every September. Gail
