RE: How Do I Use My Water System? 1996 Winnie Brave

If you have not figured out the water system you probably should not have started the hot water heater. Turning on the hot water heater with no water in it is not good for it. Otherwise good luck.

RE: Waiting for response from rv.net

Thank you all for your responses. At least I don't think I will have to call out someone to chase down a problem with my computer. I appreciate your answers. Gary

Waiting for response from rv.net

Hi All. Lately I have been getting the following message whenever I click on posts or subjects on rv.net. "waiting for response from rv.net"! And it takes a while before anything happens. RV.net has been very slow for me for the last couple of days with numerous of these messages coming up. Anyone else having these problems or is it possible that I have something on my computer that I shouldn't have? I do not seem to have any of the slow responses from other sites. I have windows 7 and internet explorer 9. Thanks for any and all responses. Gary.

RE: 2005 fleetwood discovery

Some years have the fan bearing zerk and I believe that some of the later ones do not have it. If you have it you practically have to lay down on top of the engine, with your head towards the rear of the motor home. Look down right behind the fan and you should see the zerk. You may need a flash light to see it. Then you would need a grease gun with one of the smaller tips on it to get it down on the zerk. Some of the grease guns with a larger tip will not get down on the zerk! I have heard you should only put a couple of squirts in it a year. NOT TOO MUCH GREASE! Good Luck. Gary

RE: Finding A Sneak Battery Drain WITHOUT Using A Meter?

MEXICOWANDER go ahead and tell us anyway. The smart guys that don't want to see it don't have to read the thread! P.S. I bet they read the thread anyway so they will have something to complain about.

RE: Traveling to Missouri and Illinois in May .

Just outside Edwardsville, IL close to St. Louis is the RED BARN RENDEZVOUS RV PARK. We have stayed there twice and was well pleased with it. It is easy on and easy off I-55 and I think about 20 miles from St. Louis.

RE: What does this water valve do?

Ron, I would say the valve is in the BYPASS mode as the black arrow on the handle of the valve is pointing to the arrow on the bypass mode. If you move the handle of the valve 90 degrees counterclickwise it will be pointing to the NORMAL. If I were you I would not fire up the water heater until I am sure it has water in it. Good Luck. RE: Anybody know a good GERD pillow/wedge?

I have a prescription for PANTOPRAZOLE, the generic equivalent of PROTONIX. I have taken 1 pill a day every morning for about 5 years. Before this I always had a round plastic container in my pocket with some sort of anti-acid. Haven't had a bout with GERD in years now. Good Luck.

RE: Loud Pop/Boom

I usually clean my jack cylinders off with WD-40 and then make sure to wipe it all off, then spray silicon lubricant on them when they are clean. Some times when I do not do this often enough it seems like when I raise the jacks I will get all kinds of strange noises. I believe it is caused by some dirt build up on the cylinders. Just my opinion.

RE: Pig for Christmas

We used to dip the pig up and down in the 55 gallon barrel with a block and tackle. I think we even put some lye in the hot water. Now that I am older I am trying to figure out how in the heck we even got that much water hot as we had no running water and a wood stove in the kitchen!

RE: SOS

In the Navy they had two kinds, chipped beef on toast, and minced beef on toast. I make my own version of the minced beef on toast. 2 lbs hamburger 1 can of cambells cream of mushroom soup 1 can of cambells cream of celery soup 3/4 can of cambells cheddar cheese soup 1 small can of diced tomatoes. Brown the hamburger and then drain off the grease. Add all the other ingrediants in any order and stir. Add salt and pepper to taste.

RE: 2 bubbles in hydraulic hose?

Just to complete this post I thought I would let everyone know that two of my boys volunteered to take out the bubbled line and install the new. I think it took longer for them to take it out than to put it back it. It took about 3 hours to get out and about 1 1/2 to put back in. I bought the 5000 PSI hose with fittings from NAPA for $197. It was 23 feet. So now it is in and appears to be working like it is supposed to. That is the end of this post.

RE: Check your hydrulic lines!!!

Mr. Newhall, I am about to change out a hydraulic line also and am wondering how do you purge the air out of a new line that you install? I sent you a PM about this. Thank you for any advice you can give me. Gary Rose
