RE: Travel Ideas for the winter months

If you like free camping out in the desert try Why AZ or there are to very reasonable rv parks there.Next winter we will be moving down there from ApacheJunction much quieter and cheaper.

RE: Advice: Artic Fox or Citation

The Citation beats the hell out of the others for cold weather bigger furnace and ducted heat throughout the camper. Also it's one of the only campers that has a thermal break on the inside covering the alum frame.Down side they quit making them a while back.

RE: Spokane RV show

The Lance floor is not above the bed rails and has a slide on the rear and drivers side only. Nice job on the Pic's.

RE: Have a 2007 or newer diesel and deleting. Think again.

I thought the 2003 through 2007 Diesel engines were fairly clean burning and thought they over killed and caused a lot of problems when they added the dpf.But on the other hand I would never rip the system off and defeat the purpose it was designed for.The epa never install any safeguards to stop this from starting in the first place like emission checks on diesel trucks.

RE: 2013 Lance 1172 Review

I walked through one yesterday and if you don't have to bring the whole house with you then you will love the 2 recliners. Also the tv is larger and in a very convenient place for viewing from the dinette or recliners.

RE: 2013 Lance 1172 Review

It sure looks like a lot more than 400lbs I wonder if that's wet weight and your 992 doesn't have near the rear overhang.

RE: This will be the year of Lance

Lance works good for us we have a foot of space above our heads (short ass's)

RE: 2013 Lance 1172 Review

All those triple slides are taller I looked at a Chaletcamper and there were 3 steps just to get inside. All those campers weigh much more than the 1172 or anything Lance or AF have on the road, the Chevy truck under it looked completly crushed.

RE: Slideout models, bath use when traveling

The 2013 1181 has a deeper slide it has no room to get to the bath when it's closed 1191 is the only camper you can walk right in.Also last spring on the way home we had a snow storm and were able to use the camper with the slide in overnight.

RE: condensation

And after all these well intentioned replies the fix Lance and there very quiet low draw 2 stage furnace.Last Dec we had to drive back to the cold for a funeral each of the nights on the road were below 20 degree,s and we stayed at Walmarts we never had any condensation and that furnace should be offered in all campers.

RE: condensation

We had a Buddy heater and it did the same thing switched back to the furnace hardly any condensation after the switch.

RE: New Lance 1172 Truck Camper Video

RE: 2013 Lance ?'s

The big window is the escape hatch even that is to big.

RE: 2013 Lance ?'s

Lance is flexible when you order a camper we had a fantastic fan installed instead of that hatch above the bed.

RE: Convert to Power Awning?

They flop around in a light wind not very sturdy I would keep the old style much stronger hardware.

RE: Minor annoyances on new AF

:)All Lance campers have that shelf I hit my head on it at least once a week.

RE: Minor annoyances on new AF

Our 1191 has a high toilet also wife doesn't like it our 1181 was just right. And I might add you have lovely toenails.

RE: Lance 855S

You could get the slideout awning installed from the dealer after, it just costs more than if it came from the factory.Just remember in strong winds the covers are very noisy sometime we had to run our slide in till it calmed down.

RE: Camping Life magazine tests the new Lance 1191

That large slide out tray in the large Lance campers take's basement space but I have to say it's worth having. Also having 2 large rollout drawers in the dinette plus the large outside storage in the 1191 beats the hell out of the furnace taking up that space in the fox.

RE: AF990 water tank busting through floor

That used to happen years ago but I think they fixed that problem maybe a bad weld finally let go.We live in our camper most of the year and it's off the truck I fill the fresh tank every three day's but its not as big a tank as a AF puts in there large campers. You should be able to repair it better than new after you look at it.
