RE: Filling MH Propane...

Isn't there a gauge on the permenant installed tanks? Or the liquid comes out meaning it's full? I need to get mine filled as well never done it before. The gauges are not to be used for filling contrary to the belief of some uninformed filler uppers.

RE: flat towing rubicon

If the transfer case is in neutral it really doesn't matter where the trans is. But it should be in park.

RE: Boondocking at Walmart

Heck, Tioga George never stays in a campground but I do when I get to my destination. You obviously haven't read George's blog lately.

RE: Solera Slide out sleeve

I just spoke with mobile outfitters today. The sleeve has been halted with technical problems but I got the impression that the topper is still available. Apparently the issue is interference with the seals. Specifically those applications where the bulb seal is on the wall of the RV and not the slideout. I spoke with two people and neither gave me a warm fuzzy about the product. Too bad as it is a good idea. I may make my own.

RE: Inline Fuse To Connect LED Strips To 12V?

I'm looking to hook my LED strips directly to my 12V system and it was suggested to use an inline fuse on the line. What would I need for that? For what it's worth, the line we're tapping in to is 14G. I assume you are bypassing the fuse box? If you are tapping into a fused circuit, the fuse is unnecessary. Just make you are not overloading the circuit.

RE: Hand Guns

Does the OP want to conceal carry or just have it in the RV? Big difference. If you want RV defense get a shotgun with an 18 inch barrel.

RE: DW won't drive

Here is the bottom line. I married a Southern Bell. More than a Southern girl, But a Southern Bell. Southern Bells expect certian things. One of them is not to have to tow a trailer. If you had ever been "Belled". You would understand The word is "Belle" and I have one too.

RE: Had a strange call from "Microsoft"

Simple solution. I don't answer my phone unless I know who is calling. If it is important they will leave a message.

RE: Adding 30amp receptacle to Generator ready RV..Question

Put In a 50 amp receptacle so you can use 50A shore power. Then get a 50 to 30 amp dongle to use the gen set.

RE: LP Gas Odor question

Faint Propane odors will be noticed when the storage tank is below . Are you saying they leak below 10%?

RE: LP Gas Odor question

The stoves LEAKS. They all do. I got scared once due to the smell. Spoke with a tech at stove manufacturer. I do not know if they want it this way, it is a non problem they live with or what, but it leaks. Turn the propane off when not in use I guess. I smell it at times and hope the tech has not steered me wrong. My stove does not leak. Pilot lights are designed to shut off the gas if the flame goes out. If it doesn't, replace it.

RE: Phantom Walmart horn blower

In the Air Force we called it RON. Remain Over Night. In the airline business we called it a layover. Questions?

RE: Wrecked RV

I love all these folks that are not lawyers but stayed at a Holiday Inn Express. Get a lawyer and play hard ball. They broke it. You are entitled to loss of use and depreciated value. They should provide you with a coach of like value in the interim!

I do all my mx and repairs. Freightliner XC chassis, MBE 926. I take my time and know it is done right. That's just the way I roll! YMMV! PS I inherited my Father's mechanical talent
