RE: Seeing our boy off to Afghanistan...where to park in NJ?

Can't help with CG info but in regards to Samaritans Purse info,There is no Toms County, there is Tom's River which is a fair size town in Ocean County. That is within 60 or 70 miles of Fort Dix.

RE: Too cool not to share....

I don't think the color on that Chev is blue. I had a 55 hardtop very similar to that that was turquoise.

RE: Short circuit help

The trick is to isolate exactly where the short is.You said you removed pump motor lites and lp detector and the short remained. To me that would indicate the short is probably between fuse and first powered item. This can be proven out by moving your ohmmeter leads from one part of circuit to another part of circuit.Once you have determined this , The shorted wire can be replacef or repaired, yes some tearing apart may be required.

RE: towing a malibu

I don't understand 2nd post.I am on my 3rd Malibu,(04) (08)and now a (12) I have had no problems with them related to towing. I have occasionaly gone over 65, going downhill etc. I notice that the transaxles/tranny get warm from towing so it would be logical that the faster you go the more heat you generate. Thus future problems

RE: RV'ing in Africa?

We did S. Africa, Botswana and Zimbabe about 6 years ago.We have been on many great trips, but this was the best. We did it with Reli, a now defunct caravan group.I don't know about Zimbabe's stability right now, but they have a huge Park there (Hwange)sic where we drove into it and spent the night fenced in with our rigs. There was a hide overlooking a pond.lots of elephants etc. Also Victoria Falls is there. Botswana and S. Africa were great also.I think Adventure Caravans also runs trips there. I have traveled with them on multiple trips. They in my estimation do a good job.Traveling with experienced people is important. There are areas you don't want to go into.

RE: Best RV route from Washington DC to Boston

The times I have gone up that way I have used the Tappan Zee to I287 E to I684 No.To I84 which takes you onto I90 and Boston. Timing is important on the Tappan Zee, either do it early(before 7AM)or after rush hour.

RE: Fan running noise with nothing on

If you have just plugged trailer into shore power, it's probably the converter cooling fan running because of heat generated while charging battery. Normal condition nothing to worry about

RE: Overnight stops - 2 recommendations needed

There's a Yogi Bear Jellystone ar Shangri-La in Milton Pa,you exit right at I-180 split. It's very nice park and its also Passport America.Oppurtunity to pay half price if you hit it right day of week. It is a few miles off I=80, but very quiet
