RE: Norcold 482

Don't know if this will help or not. Try the Norcold web site to see if there was ever a recall on that unit. You have the model number but will need the serial number. If a recall was issued and never performed you might get some relief from Norcold. No promises but worth a try - "nothing ventured, nothing gained". Good luck!

RE: Former Chevy Owner...Just Swapped to F150

Welcome to the good side! However, you have probably started something on this forum that will go on & on & on. Get ready to be blasted by those "other guys".
Good luck with your new tow vehicle!

Shocks for Tow Vehicle

Just curious about your ride after replacing shock absorbers. I have an F350 Crew Cab dually with the tow package. It hardly drops when I am coupled to my 8,800lb(dry & empty) fifth wheel. I recently pulled a 27' TT for a friend and again, no sag even w/o a weight dist. hitch. The suspension is very stiff. Have you really felt the difference after changing and if so, what brand and model did you replace with? Thanks for any replies.

RE: HP Inkjet printer ink rip-off

We have two HP printers in our house. I've been buying rebuilt cartridges from Inkgrabber.com for several years now and in that time I have had only one bad cartridge. I don't work for nor have stock in the company and this is not an ad. I'm merely passing on my experience.

RE: Shock Absorbing King Pins

Can't speak to the other two but, I really like my TrailAir. After a trip to New Orleans and I-10 I purchased the Trail Air in '05. Eliminated the chucking and made for a much more pleasant ride. I've since been to all the states in my signature with no problems. Good luck on your decision.

RE: Propane heater fan won't shut off

Don't know the brand or age of your heater but, my Atwood would not cut off when the propane was out or cut off. The original printed circuit board did not provide for the unit to cut off. I replaced the board with what is called a "dinosaur board" which will cut the fan off in the event of no propane. Hope this helps. You can do a search on the subject as others have experience the same problem and will probably have better info. Good luck!

RE: Feb. 23 is Diesel Engine Day

I did something nice yesterday. I changed the oil, oil filter, air filter and rotated the tires. Boy, torquing those lug nuts to 165 is a bear! Anyway, I heard a resounding "thank you" as I let the jack down on the last corner. 201k and still running real strong!

RE: Daytona 500

Just what qualifies as "veteran"? I served 3 years (all in peace time) in the Army with an Honorable Discharge. I can't seem to find a clear definition and I certainly do not want to take anything away from those men and women who served in some combat zone at any time. If I'm eligible for any consideration on tickets or camping or whatever that would be great but, if not I still strongly support those who are eligible.
Thanks!

RE: 5thwheel pinbox

Sounds like a picture and a phone call to trail air would be the correct solution. Most you will get here are amatuer opinions. Might as well get the answers from the professionals.
X2 - great advice!

You forgot to add in the wheels on your tow vehicle. 7 + ? = how many? LOL back at you! I think its time to get out there; too many foolish ideas going on here.

RE: Guess they didn't need my money

Some of you were critical of the OP. I, like others, applaud him. With regard to the park personnel, my favorite saying is: "if you were working for me, you wouldn't be working for me". Sounds like some of you could use a hug. Have a great camping day!!

Transporting RVs - Driveaway and Towable

I would like to hear from those who have actually done this. Your experiences, favorable & unfavorable. How was the pay? How were you treated by the company? Return loads or transportation, etc? Responses appreciated. I am really bored with this retirement lifestyle and need to do something I would enjoy.
Thanks!!

RE: Question about 2 Black/Grey Water Tanks

My RV has two grey water tanks and one black. I use the same hose dumping the black first, the bath grey next and the kitchen grey last. Not a lot of trouble and I don't have to carry a lot of extra fittings.
Hope this helps and welcome to the forum.

RE: changing gear ratio? myth?

Some of my friends say it will change the towing capacity and some of my friends say it cannot. As for me, I agree with my friends. Have a nice day and good luck with your decision.
